Hosea 4: 1-6

My people are destroyed for LACK of KNOWLEDGE… – Hosea 4:6a

There is no profitable alternative to the LIGHT of KNOWLEDGE: My people are destroyed for LACK of KNOWLEDGE. Because you have REJECTED KNOWLEDGE, I also will reject you from being priest for Me" (Hos.4:6). Knowledge as an indispensable prerequisite for priesthood. The consequences of the LACK or REJECTION of Knowledge are destructive. Knowledge is Power! Ignorance is not bliss!

Hosea described how the lack of knowledge resulted in national devastation and destruction, spiritually, economically, morally and physically (vv.1-6). God desires that His people discern, receive, know and obey the Truth. The consequences of failing in this regard can be devastating to both leaders and followers. Unfortunately, many believe that what they do not know will not hurt them. This is deception of the highest order. KNOWING the Truth is what liberates and makes free (Jh.8:32).

Let’s examine four kinds of knowledge, lack of which could affect persons, our priesthood, and our generations. These are: Intellectual or Educational, Moral, Revelation, and Experiential Knowledge. These are foundational for development and growth on multiple levels of life.

Intellectual or Educational knowledge: We must keep pace with technological advances and dynamics, and not fall behind. Productivity and Performance demand education and training. Preparation time is never wasted time. Humility and an open mind are continually required. God wants His people to be excellent in what we do; inquisitive, disciplined and ever-prepared. The finest institutions invest in research and development. Nobody reaches and stays at the top without sacrificing and learning from others. Readers are leaders and leaders are readers. Let’s commit to lifelong learning in our fields. Paul encouraged the youth to study, to show themselves approved unto God (2Tim.2:15).

Moral Knowledge: The knowledge of right and wrong, good and evil. The Ten Commandments is a standard for morality that was followed over many centuries by many national constitutions. It provided a legal framework that ensured a safe and secure society. To know is to be empowered to discern. Ultimately, the decision is still with us. God wants us to make informed decisions. Justice and righteousness are the twin towers of Gods Character and foundations of His throne (Psa.89:13-14). God wants both, at all times, in all situations for everybody.

Revelation Knowledge: This knowledge transcends “flesh and blood,” as displayed by Peter regarding the identity of Jesus (Mt.16:13-19). As we spend time with the written Word of God – Logos, God imparts or speaks personally into our hearts, His revealed Word – Rhema. Then, we’ll continually encounter the Living Word, Jesus Christ Himself. One Word from God can stabilize, build and uphold us, forever.

Experiential Knowledge: It is the application of information that brings about transformation. This is how we encounter God’s Presence, Power and Person. It makes for a testimony. Nobody can steal my experience. This knowledge boosts confidence and intimacy with God.

God is able to guide, supervise, and order our encounters in all Lanes of the Light of Knowledge, for His Ultimate Glory.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
