MODELS OF DOMINION (III)

“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” – Daniel 3:25 (NKJV)

Today, we turn our meditations towards Elisha, Isaiah and the three Hebrew youths – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego:

MODELS OF DOMINION (II)

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit – James 5:17-18 (NKJV)

Today, we continue on our meditations on the Models of Dominion, with the testimonies of David, Samuel, and Elijah:

MODELS OF DOMINION (I)

But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea – Exodus 14:16

The Scriptures abound with numerous examples of Bible characters who exercised dominion in life. In the next few days, we’ll meditate on some. We begin today, with three such ‘models’ of dominion – Noah, Moses, and Joshua:

DOMINION OVER SIN AND CONDEMNATION

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace – Romans 6:14

MULTI-DIMENSIONAL DOMINION

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love – Colossians 1:13

REDEMPTION – DOMINION RESTORED

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel – Genesis 3:15

DOMINION REVIVED BY GRACE

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) – Romans 5:17

DOMINION DIED – PARADISE LOST!

…and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden” – Genesis 3:8

DOMINION MANDATE

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it – Genesis 2:15

DESIGNED FOR DOMINION

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; HAVE DOMINION OVER the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth – Genesis 1: 28

Our Vision
