You Shall Be Built Up

Aoilesanmi's picture

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles”.  Job 22:23
When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory” Psa.102:16.

This is the Will of the Almighty God to all who truly believe in Him: it is His promise that all aspects of our lives would be built-up. This is the testimony of Isaiah 40:3-5

“…Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough places plain: and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it”.

This is the picture of the divine "Reconstructor" in action! He wants to transform the marshy, water-logged valleys of our lives into beautiful edifices to behold! His ultimate intention is to reveal His glory through our individual, family and corporate lives. In order to do this, He will break all barriers in the pathways of our destinies. But the highways of our hearts must be yielded to the Lord.

Friend, you cannot hold on to your way and expect Him to have His way in your life. For you to be built-up, for your life to experience genuine divine re-construction, Jesus must truly be the Lord of your life. Then, God will make a way for you (Isa.43:18, 19). God will do new things in your life. You only need to trust and obey. Let us share three keys to experiencing God's new things using the story in 2 Kings 7:1-9 as our text:
1. Be sensitive to receive a fresh Word from the Lord (vs.1)
God's Word comes to change situations. The situation in Samaria was so bad, even the king was helpless! God's Word brings fertility to situations of barrenness; freshness to situations of dryness; and abundance to situations of scarcity. The Word is your beam of light in a valley of darkness; your ray of hope in situations of hopelessness. It is God's spiritual "bulldozer" to fill the valleys, level the obstacles, straighten the sharp bends and smoothen the rough paths of life.
2. Do not question God's wisdom (vs.3).
Agree with God if you want to eat with Him. "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" (Amos 3:3). God is a God of faith; those who walk with Him must "walk by faith" (2 Cor.5:7). It takes faith to walk with God. Faith is believing and acting upon the Word of God.
3. Decide for a change (vs.5).
Do not sit down and die in the dark. Stop bemoaning what you assume to be your "fate". Rather, rise up in faith and make a move into the light. The lepers did and never regretted. You will never regret in life!

Prophetic Prayers

In Jesus precious Name –

  • I will be built up spiritually, socially, mentally, financially, physically and in all ways.
  • I will never be stranded in the journey of destiny; I will not stop until I reach the top.

Shalom,

'Tokunbo Ilesanmi

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
