Bible Meditation:
Acts 5: 14-29

Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people ALL the WORDS of THIS LIFE” Acts 5:20

Wherever Believers gather unto the Lord, God manifests the Rewards and Wonders of ALL the WORDS of LIFE: Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people ALL the WORDS of THIS LIFE” (Acts 5:20). The disciples had just been thrown in jail. They had been gathering in Solomon’s porch at the Temple. The power of the Holy Spirit was confirming the truth of the Word they were preaching and multitudes were gathering daily to see, hear, receive, and witness healings, miracles, signs, and wonders, so much so that the high priest and his henchmen arrested and bound them in prison. During the night the Lord’s angel let them out and instructed them to go, stand and speak in the Temple to the people all the words of this life!

There is no prison so dark or deep, but God can visit His people in it and, for His pleasure, fetch them out. He grants us releases out of troubles and recoveries from sicknesses, not only that we may enjoy the comforts of life, but that He may be honoured with the services of our life. The apostles were not released into ease, but commanded to “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people ALL the WORDS of THIS LIFE”! They were not delivered out of prison, in order to go and secure themselves from danger; but to resume the work they were called to – Prayer and “the Ministry of the Word” (Acts 6:4).

“All the words” infers: all the doctrines of the Gospel; the full counsel of God. No word was to be hoarded, dropped or concealed, but to be spoken out, fully, freely, and faithfully, with all boldness, courage, and constancy. The phrase, “Of this life” is a beautiful expression for the Life in the Risen One. These are Words by means of which dead sinners are quickened, and drooping saints are revived and nourished unto eternal life. Although these are words of heavenly, divine Life, they profoundly and practically impact all aspects of our present, temporal life on earth. There is no aspect of life that God’s Word cannot minster to. His Word has an answer to all questions of life. His Word has a solution to every condition or situation!

John introduced Jesus Christ as the Author of Life: “In Him was LIFE, and the life was the light of men” (Jh.1:4). Jesus also said: “It is the Spirit who gives LIFE; the flesh profits nothing. The WORD that I speak to you are spirit, and they are LIFE” (Jh.6:63). He introduced Himself as: “the Bread of Life” and “the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE” (Jh.6:48, 14:6). We receive His Life by believing in Him as Lord and Saviour: “whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life” (Jh.3:16).

God chose to reveal Himself to humanity through words: words spoken to Adam and Eve in Eden, words spoken through the prophets, and words recorded in the Bible. Ultimately God spoke in Jesus, the Word made flesh (Jh.1:14). Words are part of how God comes to us, and how we connect to Him and to each other. By the help of the Holy Spirit, the rest of this month, we shall daily meditate on several dimensions of the WORDS of LIFE, namely: Words of Grace, Faith, and Favour; Healing, Deliverance, and Freedom; Light, Wisdom, and Instruction; Peace, Joy, and Comfort; Dominion, Power, and Strength; Increase, Fruitfulness, and Freshness; Restoration, Promotion, and Progress; and Hope, Victory, and Triumph.

We are charged in Philippians 2:16:Holding fast the WORD of LIFE, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain” (Phi. 2:16). As our lives are impacted by the revelation of the WORDS of LIFE, we shall always have reasons to rejoice, never to regret; and we shall go, stand, speak, and manifest the Power in God’s Word with boldness, courage, and constancy, to impact the lives of others positively and powerfully, for His Glory!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
