BELIEVING IS SEEING

Like Thomas, some people say, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” No they won’t. They can’t. You can only have faith in what you do not see. What you see is already FACT and is not subject to believing. You do not need to believe that two plus two equals four. You know it. If you see it or you can prove it, faith becomes irrelevant. The certainties of mathematics and the logic of reasoning rarely align with the Flow of Faith.

The Thomas-kind of ‘faith’ says “SEEING IS BELIEVING.” This ‘natural human faith’ considers only what it can see or feel. It sees symptoms, problems, limitations and human opinions, and allows these to direct its responses and reactions. It gives more attention to the temporal – things which are subject to change – than to God’s unfailing Word and the supernatural realities of the Spirit realm.

The God-kind of Faith says “BELIEVING IS SEEING.” It “calls those things which be not as though they were” (Rom.4:17). True Faith considers the WITNESS of the WORD far above symptoms, limitations or human opinions. Romans 4:19 describes this Abraham-kind of faith: “And being not weak in faith, he CONSIDERED NOT his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb.” Faith does not stand upon scientific opinion! Faith does not DENY symptoms or sensory signs; but it also does not CONSIDER them above the Witness of God’s Word’s!

God demands faith. Faith pleases God. Faith involves a personal relationship with God, not a mathematical relationship. Faith is essentially a HEART MATTER. It is on this basis that God blesses faith: “BLESSED are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (Jh.20:29). Faith is a sure path to getting God’s blessing. Stand on the Witness of the Word! Be firm in your faith in the Living God. He will never fail and will ensure that you never fail in Jesus name.
