Bible Meditation:
Galatians 3: 22-29

“...There is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus – Galatians 3:28b

There is no gender bias to the representation of BIBLE MODELS of IMPACT: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus (Gal.3:28). The Bible is filled with examples of individuals, both male and female, who had a significant Impact, portraying various virtues and characters, and serving as models of how we who believe in Christ can influence the world around us, rather than be corrupted or negatively influenced.

The Bible Models of Impact offer timeless lessons on leadership, courage, faith, and the potential for individuals to make a positive impact locally or globally. Yesterday, we listed the examples of Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Paul the apostle. Few among the female Models of Impact in the Bible are: Esther, Deborah, Hannah, and Priscilla.

Esther: By submitting to proper mentorship under her uncle, Mordecai, Esther rose from being a mere Jewish maid in Persia, the land of captivity, to becoming the Queen. As queen, she courageously intervened to save her people from genocide, demonstrating rare faith and courage in the face of danger and possible death: “My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” (Est.4:16b). Her’s is an example of how a woman can use her influence to make a positive impact in alignment with the Plan and Will of God.

Deborah: A prophetess and judge, Deborah led the Israelites in battle and provided strategic leadership. In Israel’s history, Deborah was the only woman who was both a prophet and judge alongside two other men – Moses and Samuel. She modeled how women can be leaders and make a difference in their careers, callings, communities, nations, or the world (Jud.4:4-9).

Hannah: This was a woman who prayed fervently for a choice child. Hannar’s faith and perseverance culminated in the birth of Samuel the prophet. She is a model of how to trust in God’s timing and persistence (1 Sam.1:11-18).

Priscilla: The wife of Aquila, demonstrated a strong, united partnership, and represents a sound model of impact – devoid of egoism or unhealthy spousal rivalry – that can inspire couples to serve together (Acts 18: 2-3;18-19). They used their skills and resources to support the church and spread the gospel even in tough circumstances. They worked together as tentmakers, supporting themselves and the church, especially Paul’s ministry journeys. Their home was a haven of hospitality for the brethren, a friendly space for fellowship (Rom.16:3-5; 1Cor.16:19). They mentored Apollos about the way of God (Acts 18:26).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
