Bible Meditation:
Psalm 24: 1-10

Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of Glory shall come in – Psalm 24:7

The life purpose of Man is to love the Lord, to bring Him glory, and to display His glory in the earth. The word glory means “to recognize someone for who he really is”. In the Hebrew, “kabod” means: “heavy,” “weighty,” “fullness,” or “full weight of something.” Moses for example, requested: “Please, show me Your Glory” (Ex.33:18). Glory speaks of His abundant riches, splendour, and honor; the beauty and goodness that emanates from His Character. In Greek, “doxa” refers to attributes of the true nature of something; the full expression of its true essence. This is the root of the word “Doxology”!

Glory expresses: All that God is and all that He has; the full expression of His Nature; the weightiness of His Person; the uniqueness of His reputation; and the essence and fullness of His Presence. It is like God putting Himself on display! Glory incorporates: beauty, brilliance, exquisiteness, grandeur, magnificence; majesty; radiance; splendour, and wonder. Glory is what sets God apart in a class of His own! When we give God glory, it means we live in full recognition of who He is. Psalm 145:11 says: “They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power”. The result: “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory…” (1Sam.2:8a). The King of Glory is my Shield and the One who lifts my head (Psa.3:3).

Whenever God’s people were surrounded by His glory, they fell on their faces or broke out in worship and adoration (1Kgs.8:10-11). As we allow our minds to be still and open ourselves to the truths of His Glory, His Majesty, His love, His grace, His greatness, His faithfulness, His peace, His splendor, and all that He is, these truths transform us, and ooze out of us to others, such that His Majesty will be seen by all mankind (Isa.40:5). The Question arises: Who is the King of Glory TO YOU? – In the midst of your personal struggles, family circumstance, financial challenges, health issues, and the unstable world systems! This is my response: “The Lord of hosts, strong and mighty; mighty in battle – He is the King of Glory!”

I celebrate the King of Glory – strong, mighty, immovable, and immutable. He is mighty in the midst of my life’s battles. There is nothing that can touch me that He cannot use to form me. I see Him high and lifted up above all else, and His train of glory fills the temple (Isa.6:1). He fills all in all. His Glory will be seen, expressed, experienced, and tasted in and through my life. The King of Glory will fill every void in my life, fulfil every detail in my destiny, and stabilize every aspect where I have felt shaken. The enemy tries to magnify all negativity out of proportion, but the God of Glory lifts me to His Glory realm, where I begin to see earth’s challenges from heaven’s viewpoint; and temporal trials from eternal perspective.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
