CHANGE IS A PROCESS

Bible Meditation:
Philippians 1:3-11

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ – Philippians 1:6

Change is more of a process than a product. It is more of transformation than a destination. Architects and other building professionals would attest to this. The finest of edifices began raw and rough. Scenes of buildings under construction hardly look appealing; yet, this is the pathway to the zenith of aesthetic excellence.

In the hands of Architects and builders, rough, raw materials and jagged building components gradually take on structure, form, and beauty. Over time, the changes become obvious. Walls are erected; windows and doors fit in place. The strange odours of organic materials steadily fade away. Holes are covered and gaps filled. Walls are painted and railings polished. Furnishings are set-up, curtains put up, and portraits hung up. The incomplete building is steadily transformed into the “image” in the mind of the Designer. It might have taken some time, but finally it is finished and then inhabited!

In like manner, you and I are works in progress in the Hands of the Perfect Potter, the Eternal Architect, the Master Planner. The Potter hasn’t finished with you yet. He is taking you through Divine Processing. Clay, merely taken from the ground, appears worthless; and the process of transforming it into a useable state takes time and fiery effort. In our natural state, we would have been worthless to God, but He sees what we can become, digs us out, washes us clean, dries us up, and moulds us. This process is not always pleasant! There are times when the Lord has to bring His chastisement into our lives, because He loves us and seeks His best in our lives. Rather than discard the marred piece of clay, He refashions it!

God is processing you for Perfection. You are His “workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works” (Eph.2:10). Your heavenly Father will surely complete every good work He commenced in you. Therefore, whenever sceptics try to push you into discouragement mode concerning your seemingly messy state of life, tell them confidently: “Just wait and see. I am work-in-progress. I bet you’ll like what you’ll see when am done”! Alleluia!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
