Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap – Galatians 6:7
Life is a matter of choices. CHANGES come more by CHOICE than by CHANCE! It is through Choice, not Chance, that we forge our futures. It is more by Choice than by Chance, that we define our destinies. But CHOICES have CONSEQUERNCES!
Everything, every choice – right or wrong – has its own consequences. Every choice is like a seed sown; and seeds follow the universal law of SOWING and REAPING. A farmer who sows corn is never surprised when corn grows from the soil where it was planted. In the case of the Christian life, it is possible to sow either to the flesh and reap corruption, or to sow to the Spirit and reap eternal life.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Galatians 6:8).
WRONG choices have negative consequences: Sowing seeds of evil and wickedness would produce the harvest of death and destruction.
- One who chooses to live for pleasure may reap the consequences far into the lives of his or her children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren (Exodus 20:4-5).
- One who backslides from God may soon discover that his or her children have followed on the same route, from where they may never return.
Man’s sinful nature says, “Sow your wild oats”, “Satisfy and soothe yourself at others’ expense”; but the Holy Spirit urges us to walk to please, honour and glorify God in our choices of seeds sown.
RIGHT choices also have positive consequences: Planting the seeds of righteousness would yield abundant harvest of blessings. Commitment and devotion to the Lord have their consequences too. Parents who walk by and live in faith before God can have a strong influence on their children and their posterity. God has promised: “In due season we shall reap if we do not loose heart” (v.9). Right seeds are never wasted seeds, especially when planted by God’s leading, in God-ordained soils. Never loose heart or grow weary of planting good and godly seeds. You shall surely reap in due season!
The beauty of seeds is that they not only reproduce themselves into harvests, they also CHANGE the GROUND where they are planted. The carefully prepared soil that hitherto appeared barren is gradually transformed into a field ripe for harvest. Your choices, conversations, communications, decisions and resolutions can be seeds that would alter the landscape of your life and those of others. Sow today what you want to reap tomorrow, through your character, thoughts, attitudes, habits, decisions, words, and deeds.
In particular is how you choose to use our tongue, either to bless or to curse. “Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God” (James 3:9). Rather than being part of the problem, through the seeds we sow, we can be part of the solution to our world. We can sow the right seeds that’ll bring positive change to hurting humanity; seeds that would usher many more into the paths of righteousness and eternal life.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
