“Let us HOLD FAST the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” – Hebrews 10:23
CLINGING TO GOD’S PROMISES is the fifth step to entering into their perfection: ““Let us HOLD FAST the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Heb.10:23). To cling to God’s promise is to HOLD FAST the confession of your hope without wavering; to be strong and patient in waiting to witness the performance of His promise, however tough or long. Such “waiting” is of course not passive. None of the steps that lead to the Perfection of Divine Promises takes place in isolation, namely: knowing, believing, praying, standing on, and clinging to God’s promises. As long as there is breath in you, you never give up or stop knowing, believing, praying, standing on and clinging to His promises.
God might have made you a promise that you’ve spent years waiting for Him to fulfil. Yet, you’ve expended countless hours wrestling with Him in prayer with fasting, seeking reassurance that the promise was truly from Him? Perhaps you’ve even thrown out fleeces like Gideon (Jud.6:37-40)! Be assured that God will always keep His promises, and is incapable of lying or deceiving. He is always true to His word and always delivers on it. He’ll bring you to a place of undeniable confidence in Him. Clinging to God’s Word can be extremely challenging when life has not gone the way that you had envisioned it to go. Through it all however, it’ll help you to cling to the knowledge of the following facts of faith:
Even when it feels like all hope for fulfilment has vanished, hold fast and CLING to the WORD: “do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through FAITH and PATIENCE inherit the promises” (Heb.6:12). God’s ways are not our ways and His timing often does not align with our myopic schedules or plans; hence, we must learn to wait. It is written concerning Abraham: “And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise” (Heb.6:15). Sometimes our faith is tested in order to strengthen it, to produce patience, and to perfect character: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing” (Jam.1:2-4).
Beloved, God is calling out to you: “Be still and know that I am God” (Psa.46:10). The decision is yours to either continue to believe God, to cling in hope, faith, and patience until divine fulfilment, or to quit, give up, walk away and accept negativity as your fate. Although your faith might have been shaken, it shall not be broken. As long as the promise is from God, you can trust Him even in the darkness. Your faith shall not fail. You shall live to taste the joy and enjoy the harvest of fulfilment.
This is my decision: Until the day that God fulfils His promise, I will cling to my Saviour with all that is within me. I will never quit on Him. His words remain my lifelines to grasp during the steep climb and tough battles of faith. I believe that He is able to do far more than I can ever ask or imagine (Eph.3:20). I’m secure in God’s faithfulness to fulfil His word; trusting that all that I’ve committed into His hands are safe. I will continue to walk by faith and not by sight. I will let God do His work in me, shaping me into His image, to reflect His glory. I will praise Him that every promise is Yes and Amen in Christ!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
