James 4: 6-10

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and HE WILL LIFT YOU UP – James 4:10

We enter an elevated phase in destiny when we know that we were CREATED FOR SIGNIFICANCE: Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and HE WILL LIFT YOU UP (Jam.4:10). God is interested in our lifting up. He created us for Significance. He made us for Meaning! When we humble ourselves in His Presence by acknowledging that we are insignificant in ourselves, He will exalt, promote or lift us up, and make our lives truly significant. A life that is significant is one that is important, worthy, valuable, impactful, and of consequence. A life of significance doesn’t come through self-effort or carnal exertions. It’s not what we do that builds a life of significance; it’s who we identify with!

David knew that God created him for significance right from his mother’s womb: “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” (Psa.139:14). He sang: “How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number that the sand; when I awake, I am still with You” (Psa.139:17-18). God’s thoughts concerning us are precious, plentiful, and all-encompassing. We occupy a significant place in the Father’s Heart. Despite the challenges and trying times we may encounter, our lives are never without meaning, relevance, worth, or significance.

Multitudes are plagued with a lack of fulfillment. And this is one chief reason why Jesus came: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (Jh.10:10b). Abundant life is life as it was meant to be lived – full, satisfying, and filled with meaning. The nagging inner emptiness that many people feel reveals a lack of personal fulfillment in their relationships, career, spiritual and other aspects of life. This is largely tied to ignorance about purpose and destiny. To enjoy Jesus’ offer of abundant life, we must connect with His eternal purpose for us. It is in Him and His Will that we discover true and lasting fulfillment and embrace a life of significance, relevance, and worth.

1 Peter 2:9 reveals part of God’s purpose for the redeemed: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” We are God’s “own special people”, called to prominence and significance! God created us to accomplish something that will bring us maximum satisfaction and good to others. We are not random happenings or accidents. God made each one of us on purpose for a purpose. We can reach beyond worldly success and lay hold on significance. Discovering and fulfilling His purpose answers our deep, divinely in-built need for significance!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
