Who FOUND FAVOUR before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob – Acts 7:46
David found favour before God. God Himself described this unique man as “a man after His own heart” (1 Sam. 13:14). The Lord was also a God after David’s own heart. God sought him, found him and raised him to the throne (Acts 13:22).
David’s life reveals that while we can never “deserve” or “earn” God’s favour, we can live in a way that tends to attract His favourable attention. King David owed every elevation, accomplishment and success in his life to God’s undeserved favour. 2Samuel 7: 8-16 highlight few of the testimonies of favour concerning David: he was elevated from following sheep to becoming ruler of God’s people, Israel; blessed with God’s perpetual Presence; divinely defended from all his enemies; bestowed with greatness, fame and fortune; and granted the privilege of God’s everlasting covenant and kingdom!
- God took a boy who “followed” sheep and turned him into a man who “ruled” His people.
- God accompanied David wherever he went, even into the hard and difficult places.
- God caused the defeat of all David’s enemies and gave him rest from the battlefield.
- God, by His choice, decided to build a “house” for David, when he had expressed a desire to build a “house” for God.
- God would make sure that David’s kingdom never ended!
What gracious gestures from the Almighty God! Favour found David; favour formed him; favour followed him; favour fought for him; and favour brought him temporal and eternal fulfilment! That’s how far the Lord can go when He finds a person who is “after His own heart” – hungry, passionate, pursuer after God! Are you such a one?

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
