DECLARING DIVINE DEFENCE

But You, O LORD, are a Shield for me, My Glory and the One who lifts up my head – Psalm 3:3

What a privilege it is to be ushered from our August of Winning Wisdom into the September of Divine Defence! This Month and beyond, the LORD, the Keeper of Israel and the Defender of the defenceless, will give you and I the revelation of Divine Defence and experiences of Supernatural Security (Psa.121:4). By His Grace and Mercy, we shall be blessed with the divine insurance and promises of Psalm 91and other powerful portions of Scriptures in Jesus Name.

Twenty years ago (1997) I published a mini-book titled More-than-Conquerors’ Confessions. The Keeper of Israel, who never slumbers nor sleeps, has kept us alive and well in the land of the living. He has kept us from evil, delivered us from the jaws of death, and defended our destinies from the claws of destruction. Today, I feel the unction to begin this Month’s meditation with prophetic proclamations of Divine Defence, excerpted and adapted from my mini-book!

In Jesus Precious Name, I declare that:

The Lord is my Shield from danger at all times.

The Lord is my Glory and the Lifter-up of my head.

When I cry to the Lord, He hears and answers me from His holy hill.

When I lie down to sleep, I awake because the Lord sustains and protects me all night long.

My Keeper who never slumbers nor sleeps blesses and sustains me daily with sweet sleep.

I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of enemies that set themselves in array against me.

The Lord is my Light, my Salvation, my Deliverance, and my Victory.

The Lord keeps and protects me jealously as the apple of His eye.

He hides me under the shadow of His wings from the attacks of the wicked.

The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, my Deliverer, my God, and my Strength.

In Jehovah I trust, I rest, and take sanctuary and refuge.

The Lord is my Buckler, my Shield, and my Hiding-Place.

The Lord is the Horn of my salvation, and my High Tower.

I will always call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;

Every time I call on the Lord, I am saved from my enemies.

God is my Defence and Defender. The Lord of Mercy protects me.

Dear Lord, I will sing aloud each morning about your power and mercy.

You have been my High Tower of refuge and my place of safety in the days of distress.

Through God I shall be valiant in battle; for He it is that treads down my enemies.
