DECREE AND DECLARE GOD’S WORD

Bible Meditation:
Jeremiah 1: 4-19

You will also DECLARE a thing, and it will be ESTABLISHED for you; so light will shine on your ways” – Job 22:28

The Power in the Word of God is released into demonstration as you DECREE and DECLARE the WORD (Job 22:28). When you hear, receive and obey His Word, you are then empowered to decree the word. A DECREE is a rule of law issued by a head of state or president according to certain procedures, which has the force of the law. Decrees are tools by which we cause the truths of the heavenly realm to be manifest into the natural realm as our daily reality. In biblical times, the King had the authority to make decrees in the form of a written document, specific about a subject matter. It was law and had to be carried out according to the King's command; and failure to obey the decree was punishable. To DECLARE is to make known or state clearly, especially in explicit or formal terms: to declare one's position in a controversy; to announce officially or proclaim; or to state emphatically.

The word ‘established’ means: to set up on a firm or permanent basis, to show something to be true based upon the facts. The person making the decree must be in a position of power and authority to do so: “Where the word of a king is, there is power; and who may say to him, “What are you doing?” (Eccl.8:4). As the child of the King of kings, and a king in his or her redemption right, the believer has the power and authority to make decrees based on God’s Word and to expect that they will be carried out. God wants you to decree and declare His Word. The power is yours to state your case regarding your home, family, ministry and all that concern you. The words that you speak will be established – manifested and shown to be true, as you have spoken it. That the light shall shine upon your way, means there will be enlightenment in your mind and spirit that will cause you to see clearly the path that is laid before you. You will not stumble about in darkness, walk timidly and unsure, but will have clarity, purpose, and direction.

Beloved, in Christ you have the power and authority to speak God’s Word over anything in your life and expect to see it manifested in the reality of your world. What you decree you should also declare, that is, speak emphatically and clearly state your position upon the matter. This infers that in order to both decree and declare a thing and expect to see the manifestation, you must know the Word of God to the extent that you fully understand your legal right to have your decree upheld. There are always conditions to be met in order to have the authority to do anything in the kingdom of God (Dt. 28:1).

The Word of God is living and powerful (Heb.4:12). His Word is Truth (Jh.17:17b). His Word corrects, enlightens, cleanses, heals, delivers and brings visible results. It does not return without accomplishing its assignment (Is.55:10-11). Jeremiah 1:9-19 reveals the principle behind speaking God’s Word: “Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.” God assured Jeremiah that He will quicken His word to perform it. (v.12). As you read the Bible, the Holy Spirit will guide you as to what you need to decree in your life, for your family, ministry, city, government and nation. There is a word in the Word of God that holds the answers to your question. There is an order to handling the Word: hear, read, study, meditate in, obey, decree and declare the Word. Believe and expect to see the manifestation.

As a New Creation in Christ, you have the right to legislate and cause change to come based on the dominion that God has given you. Speak the Answer, not the Problem! Begin to decree and declare what you already have possession of: your righteousness, salvation, healing, abundance, peace, friendship with God, and eternal victory!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
