Bible Meditation:
Ephesians 4:17-24

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; – Ephesians 4:23

“…To renew or to exchange your mind is a lot like changing a baby’s diaper...

When your children need their diapers changed, they begin to fuss because they are uncomfortable. Then they begin to smell, and the odor makes everyone else uncomfortable! So what do you do? A wise parent grabs the baby, sprinkles a little powder on him and puts on a clean diaper.

But wait a minute! I left out that important step…you must take off the dirty diaper first.

Many of us are going through life with stinking thinking, and we need a diaper change really bad. Our “diapers” – the state of our minds – cause our whole lives to stink. We need changing, but sometimes all we do is sprinkle a little powder on top of the old diaper and try to clean ourselves up by putting a clean diaper over the old one. And this doesn’t solve the problem Very soon, the “odor” can be detected again. To eliminate the problem and exchange a dirty diaper for a clean one, there is a proper procedure to follow.

First, as it is with babies, you remove the old diaper and clean up the baby. Then when the baby is clean and fresh, you put on the new diaper. When that process of change takes place the baby is comfortable and no longer makes others uncomfortable.

The same is true of renewing the mind and the spirit of the mind. If you don’t remove old programmed thoughts but merely try to add new thoughts on to your old way of thinking, you aren’t going to change very much. This is why many people never make lasting changes in their lives. They just continue adding on to the same old way of thinking instead of changing it once and for all.

Look at what frequently happens with divorce and remarriage. Nine times out of ten, the second marriage is no better than the first. The only difference is the name of the spouse you fight with. Why? Because when you marry the second time, you bring the same you into that marriage you brought into the first one…

Remember, when you change the inside, the outside will take care of itself. When you plant the proper seed in your mind, you are going to find the fruit that you are looking for.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
