Bible Meditation:
Psalm 23: 1-6

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures..." – Psalm 23: 1-2a

The Lord as our Shepherd guarantees DIVINE PRESENCE and REST: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures" (Psa.23:1-2a). Rest is not something we have to chase; He provides it! In a fast-paced world that demands constant drive, our Shepherd deliberately stops us, guides us to quiet places, and restores our bruised and battered souls, leading us into absolute peace.

Rest should not be treated like a luxury we can only afford when our to-do list is totally empty. We don’t have to run ourselves ragged trying to secure our own provision, protect our own lives, or fix all problems. This is the cause of churches full of tired minds and anxious hearts. Believers are not orphans left to survive. As sheep, we can rest in our loving Shepherd’s Care! Here, David revealed the secret to a stressless life: Divine Presence and Rest. He didn’t start by looking at his enemies or his responsibilities. He fixed his eyes on his Caregiver!

The Lord is the foundation of our sufficiency (v.1). The Presence of our Shepherd deletes lack from our story. We need not worry about our needs, as His Presence guarantees our supply. Likewise, the provision of Rest (v.2). He does not ask where we want to go. He takes the initiative, makes us lie down in green pastures, and leads us beside still, quiet waters of His Word (Eze.34:15). Green pastures provide abundant food, while still waters offer safe drinking without the danger of a rushing current. God provides calm environments for our souls to relax. He knows exactly when the heat of life is getting too intense. When we submit to His leading, our schedule might still be busy, but our souls will be perfectly at rest because the Shepherd – our Life-Giver – is carrying the weight of our tomorrow (Jh.10:11).

Next, is the miracle of restoration (v.3a). When life bruises our emotions or exhausts our mind or will, He personally heals and recharges us. He guides us along the right paths for His name's sake (vv.3b-4). Even when those paths dip into the dark valley of the shadow of death, we don't have to panic. His rod and staff are there to protect, correct, and usher us to the Table of Honor (v.5). God does not wait for our trials to end before He blesses us. He prepares a lavish feast for us right in front of our enemies, anointing our head with favour until our cup overflows. As we live in God's Presence, the heavenly Bodyguards – Goodness and Mercy – actively pursue and perpetually encircle us.

In Jesus’ name, I affirm that:

The Lord is my personal Shepherd; therefore, lack and worry are banned from my life as I rest refreshingly in the lush, green pastures of His supernatural abundance.

The Holy Spirit is leading me beside still waters, drowning out every voice of anxiety. My soul is fully restored, wholly healed, and deeply refreshed by His Presence.

I walk out of emotional exhaustion into Christ’s vibrant strength. Even if I walk through dark valleys, I refuse to fear because the Lord is right beside me.

The Rod of  the Word protects me from hidden traps, and His staff guides me in perfect safety, leading to His table of favour and promotion.

I am heavily anointed, my cup of blessing is constantly running over, and God’s Goodness and Mercy are clearing my path every single day.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
