Bible Meditation:
Zephaniah 3: 14-20

“The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness…” – Zephaniah 3:17a

Fear is silenced and life’s battles are fought and won when we walk in the reality of DIVINE PRESENCE and REST: “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing” (Zeph.3:17). When God is in our midst, we no longer have to fight for our peace; His Presence calms our fears and fights our battles. Rather than exhausting ourselves trying to fix past mistakes or silence our critics, True Rest comes when we realize that Almighty God is right beside us, celebrating us and orchestrating our victory. We can rest in the singing, saving, and quieting Presence of the Lord God.

Some believers live with a hidden fear that God is angry with them, distant, or constantly checking their flaws. This underlying anxiety drives them into a cycle of religious performance and mental exhaustion, leaving totally-drained souls. They worry about their past errors, fret over current struggles, and panic about future fulfilment. But prophet Zephaniah revealed a radical picture of God's Heart that shatters every trace of anxiety. God broke into a season of national grief and judgment with a roaring Shout of Joy. He commanded a broken, fearful people, to sing, shout, and rejoice with all their heart because the King of Israel was in their midst, and the enemy’s judgments had been cleared away.

Believers are instructed to shout and rejoice in the Lord Who had taken away their judgments and cast out their enemies (vv.14-15). When God is in our midst, we’re divorced from disaster, and set to overcome paralysing fear. Our hands must not be weak. We must stay strong because hopelessness has no right to control us anymore (v.16). Verse 17 contains a breathtaking description of God: “The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save...” God is not pacing the floors of heaven worrying about our problems. He is right beside us as a Victorious Warrior, so secure in His Power that He chooses to break into songs over our lives.

God is not watching from a distance; He is in our very midst – to save! Instead of pointing fingers at our flaws, He rejoices over us with gladness, calms our anxious minds with His fierce love, and sings songs of deliverance over our destinies (v.17). When the world is screaming in fear, we can close our eyes and let the reality of Divine Love hush our racing thoughts into absolute rest. God promises to personally gather those who mourn over missing out on holy gatherings (v.18). Rest means taking away the burden of reproach and shame from our lives, and letting God handle our enemies (v.19). He’ll also restore our fortunes right before our eyes (v.20).

In Jesus’ Name, I affirm that:

The Lord is living inside me, and His heavy Presence fills my life. I refuse to fear terror or disaster because the King of Kings is in my midst.

God is my Mighty Warrior, actively saving and delivering me from every trap. I am quieted, comforted, and settled by His overwhelming Love.

My heavenly Father is sincerely rejoicing over me with gladness; hence, I lift up weak hands in bold faith, knowing my victory is totally secure.

God is dealing with every oppressor and enemy of my peace. I walk through this day in total rest, surrounded by songs of divine deliverance.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
