DIVINE PRODUCTIVITY AND PROFIT (4)

“So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come’” – Luke 19:13

Our Lord demands that we actively deploy our talents, resources, and gifts for DIVINE PRODUCTIVITY and PROFIT: “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come’” (Luke 19:13). God does not demand what He has not enabled, but He strictly requires the multiplication of what He has entrusted! The Parable of the Minas, set against the backdrop of Jesus’ final journey to Jerusalem, corrects a crucial misconception: that the Kingdom of God would appear immediately without any responsibility on the part of the believer (v.11).

Our Lord Jesus introduced a nobleman who travelled to a far country to receive a kingdom. Before departing, he entrusted his servants with financial resources – minas – and issued a strict, firm command: “Occupy till I come” or “Do business till I come” (v.13). This parable reveals that God is the Divine Performer, not a passive investor. He is the God of Divine Productivity and Profit. The nobleman did not ask his servants to merely guard or preserve the capital; he demanded commercial engagement, intentional multiplication, and measurable returns. The Greek word for "do business" (pragmateuomai) implies active trade, industriousness, and economic diligence. When the master returned, he rewarded the servants based on their profit margins.

Divine Productivity means maximizing heaven’s deposits in our lives, while Divine Profit is the tangible increase that glorifies the Master. Conversely, wrapping our potential in a napkin out of fear or laziness is rebuked as wickedness. In the light of this parable, God expects us to reject the spirit of fear, identify and deploy our “minas,” and ensure accountability. The unprofitable servant hid his mina because he viewed the master through the lens of fear and austerity. Fear paralyses potential, but faith drives profitable risk-taking; hence, we must cultivate a mindset of faith and bold execution. God has deposited assets into our lives – talents, time, treasures, intellectual capacity, and spiritual gifts – that must be identified and appropriately deployed.

We are not empty! In acknowledging these resources and intentionally deploying them into active productivity, we must also sustain accountability. Knowing that every resource given by God will be accounted for, we strive daily to ensure that our career, businesses, service, and ministry, are yielding returns for the Kingdom. True Faithfulness measures productive growth!

In Jesus’ Name, I affirm that:

I am anointed for Divine Productivity! My hands are blessed to create wealth and my ideas and actions yield maximum profit.

The spirits of barrenness, fear and stagnation are nullified and expelled from my life. I step boldly into high-performing exploits.

As a faithful steward, I command a tenfold increase on every asset entrusted to me as I choose to not hide my talents.

My capacity is expanding daily under the influence of divine Grace and Wisdom, producing results that bring Glory to the Lord.

My potential will find expression and command global relevance to manifest the Excellence of God’s Kingdom.
