Bible Meditation:
Psalm 29: 1-11

“The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace” – Psalm 29:11

As key aspects of the Blessing of DIVINE REST, God gives Strength and speaks Quiet Peace to His people: “The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace” (Psa.29:11). The loudest storm in the world is completely powerless against the quiet peace that God speaks into our souls. While life can throw thunderous challenges, crashing crises, and shaking trials our way, our ultimate victory is certain because the King who rules over the flood actively blesses our lives with His inner strength and absolute rest. In a world where trouble can be incredibly loud, breaking into lives like terrifying claps of thunder, the Believer can remain perfectly calm and unmoved!

Depicting a beautiful contrast, the song starts with earth-shattering thunder, but closes in absolute, quiet sanctuary. The opening Call to Worship commands the mighty angels to give unto the Lord Glory and Strength, and to worship Him in the beauty of holiness (vv.1-2). Rest begins when we take our eyes off life’s problems and fix them entirely on the majestic size of our God. No matter how loud our situation screams, God’s Voice is infinitely louder, powerful, majestic, and carries absolute authority (vv.3-4). His Voice dismantles the humanly unbreakable. The things that look permanent, stubborn, or impossible in our lives are easily shattered by a single word from God (vv.5-6).

David didn’t deny the power of the storm. Instead, he described the Voice of the Lord as a magnificent, thunderous force that breaks giant cedar trees, splits rocks with flames of fire, shakes the vast wilderness, and strips the forests bare. But, while the storm exposes and strips the world, God's people find themselves safely gathered in His temple, where everyone shouts, "Glory!" (vv.7-9). God is not intimidated by the chaos of the world; He is the absolute Master over it. God sits enthroned as King forever, completely unmoved, even when the floods lift up their roaring voice (v.10). He is never caught by surprise. He is securely in control of the beginning, the middle, and the end of our trials.

The ultimate reward is the Sealed Blessing of Peace (v.11). Rather than take away the storm immediately; God often infuses us with an inner, supernatural strength to stand firm right in the middle of it, ensuring that we don’t collapse under pressure. He seals our hearts and blankets our lives with an emotional quietness and unique blessing of peace that cannot be disrupted by external noise. Divine Rest does not mean the storm has stopped raging; it means the storm has lost its power to shake the peace inside our hearts! Because our King rules over the flood, our souls can rest in perfect comfort. Therefore, in Jesus’ name, I declare that:

My God sits enthroned over the floods; He is completely in control. As I fix my eyes on His Majesty; every mountain of worry instantly shrinks.

I shall no longer replay the world’s bad news. The powerful Voice of the Lord is actively shattering every stubborn obstacle in my path.

While the world shakes in panic, I am safely wrapped in the Glory of God's Sanctuary. The Lord over the storms ruled my today and tomorrow.

I receive a fresh supply of divine strength to triumph over every pressure, with the blessing of Christ’s Perfect Peace sealed over my mind.

I break free from fear, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion. I walk through life’s loudest storms in absolute quietness, confidence, and rest.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
