DOMINION IN LIFE’S BATTLES (III)

Bible Meditation:
Psalms 108: 1-13

Through God we will do valiantly: for it is He who shall tread down our enemies Psalm 108:13

Battles are real and inevitable in virtually all dimensions of life. We are however not simply engaged in physical or natural battles. The toughest and most critical battles of life are spiritual. For Christians in particular, our battles are essentially spiritual, irrespective of their temporary camouflage. That’s why: “the weapons of our warfare are nor carnal” (2Cor.10:4a). Most of our life’s battles therefore demand spiritual responses and supernatural interventions: our weapons are mighty THROUGH GOD to pull down strongholds (2Cor.10:5)! THROUGH GOD we will do valiantly!

Most of life’s battles are more spiritual than physical. The invisible spiritual realms control the visible natural realms. Therefore, if we must operate in Realms of Dominion, we must be aware of and established in the spiritual nature of our warfare and weapons. We must learn to follow God’s guidance meticulously and His guidelines clinically, for Victory to be sure. These call for being sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirit at all times, and being humble and teachable in order to be guided aright by our Commander-in-Chief. Only then can we exercise dominion and be victorious in life’s battles.

It is not the will of God for us to be cowards who turn back in the day of battle: The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle” (Psa.78:9). Those were unfortunate wasters of weapons: they were armed and carried bows, yet they bowed in retreat and defeat. Proverbs 24:10 also says: “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small” (Pro.24:10). Such is not meant to be the lot of any of God’s children. In Christ, your strength cannot be small. You are equipped and groomed as a Kingdom-Champion, an Overcomer, and More-than-Conqueror (Rom.8:37).

Though you must brace up for battles, you are not called to live in anxiety, stress, and restlessness or to become battle-weary. Rather, like David you are meant to move from victory to victory: “...But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker” (2Sam.3:1). Ultimately, the single Victory at Calvary answers to all battles! If you are in Christ, you already have the Victory. All the devil wants to do is to wrest it from your hands, but he has failed! Greater is He that is in us, than the devil and all the demons that are in the world (1 Jh.4:4). Let your heart be fixed on God. Raise His Praise and He’ll cause you to triumph valiantly, as He treads down your enemies (Psa.108:13).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
