DOORS OF DECISION

Bible Meditation:
Genesis 18:1-15

Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction… the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few – Matthew 7:13-14

Doors signify defining lines, places of choice and of decision. When you get to a door, you must make a decision, either to enter or to desist from entering. There has to be a decision to transit from one place to another. When you stand before two or more doors, you cannot enter more than one door at a time. You must decide on one if you must leave the spot.

For Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 18, the door signified a place of decision: “And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day” (Gen.18:1). The Patriarch was by the door, when he saw the three angelic visitors and invited them in to refresh and eat. Sarah was behind the door when the Lord declared her destiny and she laughed in unbelief: “…And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him” (Gen. 18:10). But for the mercy of God, she would have nailed her coffin at the door!

When two or more doors stand before a person who is not privileged to know what lies beyond the doors, it takes the mercy of God to make a choice for a door that leads to life rather than one that ends in death. One door can lead into a Palace and another into a dungeon or ditch.

Standing on the threshold of marriage, career, ministry or any other significant life-event is like standing by a door of decision.
 The Lord will guide your choices at all destiny-defining doors, to ensure that you do not make the wrong decisions.
 God will ensure that false doors do not open before you.

For some people, “sin is crouching at the door” and they must decide to either bow to sin or rule over it. The Lord said to Cain: “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it” (Gen.4:7).
 The Lord will grant you grace to rule over temptation, sin and worldliness at every door of destiny.
 The Lord will strengthen your faith to never fail to access your doors of opportunity in destiny.

Lord, please guide my choice and decision at every destiny-defining door in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
