Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 61: 1-11

Instead of your shame you shall have DOUBLE HONOR, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall POSSESS DOUBLE; everlasting joy shall be theirs Isaiah 61:7

To round off this series on “Possessing Your Possessions,” I prophesy that God will restore to you DOUBLE for your troubles! In your land, you “shall POSSESS DOUBLE”! No matter what you’ve been going through, trusting in God through Jesus Christ, His Son, He will reward you for the tough times and rough struggles of life. He will grant you Double Honour in place of shame. The Rewarder of Job shall reward you: And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job TWICE as much as he had before…Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning” (Job 42:10,12a). One of Job’s friends – Bildad – actually hinted on this possibility: “Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly” (Job 8:7). He was simply expressing the divine pattern: “The end of a thing is better than its beginning…” (Eccl.7:8a). God will always finish on the PLUS!

Have you been seeking the Lord for liberty in life? Have you been heavy in your spirit and longing for the comfort of the Holy Spirit all this while? Yet, the problems appear to be pervading rather than receding. It seems like everything you try doesn’t work. Every time you find someone you think you can trust they let you down. It’s as if the Lord has put you in waiting mode; like nothing seems to be going right and you’re probably thinking about giving up, but God’s Spirit says ‘No’! The Lord may be getting you ready for double-barrelled blessings! I sense Him opening the Windows of Heaven to pour blessings that’ll warrant expanded rooms to contain! The Lord is able to restore everything that you lost. As you wait upon Him, He’ll renew your strength; so that you shall mount up with wings as an eagle; run, and not be weary; and walk, and not faint (Isa.40:31).

You might have had to endure attacks, afflictions, and persecutions for your faith in Christ. Always remember that suffering often precedes Glory: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Rom.8:18). The discomfort or pain you’ve put up with for the sake of righteousness is nothing compared to the glory God will manifest in and through you. No pain, no gain. The Perfect Potter has your life in His hands. He works on the wheels in tune with His Will (Jer.18:3). For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2Cor.4:17-18).

This is God’s Word for your season: “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the Lord’s hand DOUBLE for all her sins” (Isa. 40:2). By the Covenant Blood, God declares: “Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore DOUBLE to you” (Zech. 9:11-12). You shall testify of valleys being filled, mountains being levelled, crooked places straightened, and rough places smoothened, for the Glory of the Lord to be revealed (Isa.40:3-5). It’s time for DOUBLE Blessings: in the city and in the country; in your body and your ground; your basket and kneading bowl; going in and going out (Dt. 28:3-6). It’s the season of “liberty to the captives…the opening of the prison to those who are bound…to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (vv.1-3). In your land you “shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be” yours (v.7).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
