EFFECTIVE CHANGE

Bible Meditation:
Luke 15:11-32

I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee – Luke 15:18

“It is important for you to have a solid grip on these five Rs of effective change…

Number one is to be responsible. Many people avoid taking responsibility to the point that they have no control over their situations. Without control, you can’t change anything. But the truth is, you are in control. And the responsibility to change is yours.

Number two is to rethink. Challenge what you believe, what you assume to be true and what you’ve been told. When an unbiblical belief system and inborn thoughts and actions surface, challenge and rethink them. This will give your new thoughts a chance to prove themselves.

Number three is to reject the old way. If your old thoughts have produced the problems you have today, make room for their replacement by rejecting your old thoughts.

Number four is to review the new. You need to capture your new thoughts, but going over them once isn’t enough. In order to have them work, you need to imprint them deeply in your mind by reviewing and practicing your new thinking over and over again.

Number five is to let your new thoughts resound. This means to speak them. Repeat new thoughts to yourself, and speak them to your family and friends. This is the secret ingredient that will create permanent change in you. Speaking thoughts loud will lock them permanently in your mind, and positive results will surely follow.

If you act of these five Rs – responsibility, rethinking, rejecting, reviewing and resounding – you will start the process of change. You will bring new things into your life. You will change the treasure in your heart. Then you will have something new to draw from that will make a difference in your life.

Many people are “waiting for their ship to come in.” Even if their ship does come in, their thinking would sink it in the harbour! …It isn’t a matter of waiting for something to happen outside of you; it’s a matter of changing something inside of you.

Prayer:
Lord, make me an initiator and catalyst of positive change. I will never be a casualty or victim of change.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
