"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" – 2 Timothy 1:7)
Believers in Christ are called, ordained, and EMPOWERED for IMPACT: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Tim.1:7). Ironically, many believers operate under a spirit of timidity, insecurity, or fear of failure. However, Paul reminds Timothy – and us – that our capability does not stem from human strength, but from the indwelling Holy Spirit. God has not called us to be mediocre or afraid; He has equipped us with a divine, three-fold DNA for exceptional performance: Power, Love, and a Sound Mind.
Timothy had a "gift of God" that was dormant due to pressure. Paul urged him to ‘fan into flame’ or rekindle this gift and inner fire (v.6). Divine Power requires our cooperation; we must actively stir up the potential God has placed within us. The Spirit of Power is dunamis – supernatural strength, ability, and authority to overcome obstacles and fulfill our calling (v.7). It is the same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead, allowing us to operate beyond our natural limits (Rom.8:11). The Holy Spirit also gives us agape love, which drives out fear and motivates us to serve others rather than act selfishly. Power without love is destructive. The Spirit of a Sound Mind refers to self-discipline, self-control, and a well-balanced, calm mind. It keeps us focused, organized, and sensible, preventing panic in high-pressure situations.
Ultimately, we are called to shame-free stewardship: not to be ashamed of the gospel or our faith (v.8). God’s Power enables us to withstand persecution, trusting in Him rather than our own security. We are not saved by our works but for a holy calling based on God’s Purpose and grace (vv.9-10). Our Lord Jesus Christ has broken the power of death, giving us a destiny that transcends physical life. When anxiety, fear of failure, or inferiority arises, we can consciously refuse and reject it, affirming, “That is not from God.” Along with cultivating a sound mind – self-discipline in daily routine, thoughts, and words, love for God and people must motivate our performance, not applause or recognition.
In Jesus’ Exalted Name, I declare that:
The Holy Spirit within me enables me to fan my gifts into flame. I have not received a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
I cannot fail, for I operate in the resurrection Power of Christ. I have the mind of Christ, for sound judgment and wisdom in every decision.
The Lord gives me strength to perform my tasks with excellence. And, I walk in audacious love, driving out every insecurity and fear.
I am called for a holy purpose, and God's Grace equips me for it. I am bold and unashamed, a confident witness for Christ in all areas.
By the Power of the Holy Ghost, I have authority over every demonic intimidation. I break through every limitation to fulfil my destiny.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
