FAITH’S ALTAR

Bible Meditation:
Romans 4: 1-25

And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him – Genesis 12:7

God had just appeared to Abram and called him into a Journey of Faith. His first response was to build an altar to worship God. The right response to God’s Call to a Life of Faith is to build an ALTAR of FAITH; to decide and determine that your faith-life will not be an ad-hoc, occasional, “as-it-is-convenient” affair, but a consistent and conscientious LIFESTYLE. However else your devotional altar may be described, let it have the attribute of being an altar of faith.

Faith is not an elective course in the University of Life. Faith is not an option; it is an Obligation: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb.11:6). Without faith, it is not just difficult, but impossible to please God! Faith brings God pleasure. On the contrary, inability to take God at His Word gives Him displeasure. The Bible says repeatedly: “The just shall LIVE BY FAITH” (Hab.2:4; Rom.1:17; Gal.3:11; Heb.10:38). Why should you find it difficult to believe God, yet you so easily believe men? A true Christian – a Believer – is one who believes God!

With God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Mt.19:26). No matter how impossible God’s promise may sound, simply believe, trust and obey. GOD CANNOT LIE (Tit. 1:2). “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?” (Num.23:19). GOD NEVER FAILS. There is no impossibility with Him: “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible” (Mk.10:27).

Always approach God like a child at Faith’s altar. You need not calculate or rationalize how God intends to fulfil His promise. Simply believe. Come with child-like faith. God is not phony. God is not a liar. Stop doubting Him. Every good word the Lord has spoken to you and concerning you will be fulfilled in its time. Hold on to His promises for you and all yours. He will fulfil them. The trials of faith will not topple your faith, but refine and re-fire it. However tough the trial may be, your faith will not fail in Jesus name.

Prayer:
O Lord, toughen my faith for triumph over every trial, that it may come forth refined, strong and fiery in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
