FAITH – FUSION WITH CHRIST

I am crucified WITH CHRIST: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the FAITH of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me – Galatians 2:20

Faith is not lifeless formula, human philosophy or a set of religious observances. True Faith is a living RELATIONSHIP with Christ. Faith produces an interaction between Christ and the Believer – one that is alive, deep, dynamic and vibrant. We give ourselves to Him and He gives Himself to us. We become “partakers of the Divine nature” (2Pet.1:4). In Christ, we receive the Seed of eternal Life – the DEPOSIT of DIVINITY!

The apostle Paul aptly described this with the marvellous expression of being “IN CHRIST.” Romans 8: 1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are IN CHRIST Jesus.” 2 Corinthians 5: 17 says, “If any man be IN CHRIST he is a new creature.” Simple, but profound, these scriptures require no special interpretation.

In the midst of the religious jargon and Pharisaic pomposity, which the common people could hardly comprehend, Jesus Christ talked about faith in the simplest and most personal of ways. These were His words:
- “Come unto Me…I will give you rest” (Matt.11:28)
- “Learn of Me…you shall find rest unto your souls” (Matt.11:28)
- “Follow Me…I will make you…” (Matt.4:19)
- “Abide in Me, and I in you…” (Jh.15:4)
- “Love Me…” (Matt.10:37; Jh.14:15).

Faith in Christ is so intimate and personal. It is not a particular religious act. It is the transfer of responsibility for your life to God in TOTALITY, knowing that your own resources are inadequate to see you through. Salvation should wholesome, but Christ can only save what you give to Him. God didn’t plan to save us piecemeal. Hand everything over to Him, lock, stock and barrel. Release your body, soul and spirit into His total care, for all time. He will preserve your entire life and destiny (1The.5:23).

Faith is Spiritual Fusion – FUSION WITH CHRIST – making us one with Christ. That’s God’s ordained way for us to acquire all that Christ accomplished on the cross for us. Nothing in this world is greater than that.
