Mark 5: 24-34

“And He said to her, “Daughter, YOUR FAITH has made you well. God in peace, and be healed…” – Mark 5:34a

FAITH and the ANOINTING often work together to produce phenomenal manifestations of the Supernatural: And He said to her, “Daughter, YOUR FAITH has made you well. God in peace, and be healed…” (Mk.5:34a). Supernatural Faith is the ability given to a believer by God to have dominion over time, space, and matter; the God-given ability to interrupt the process of time, accelerate the natural and manifest the supernatural. The God-kind of Faith breaks the law of time and of nature. The anointing however is the ability given to the believer by God to do whatever He has called him or her to do. The anointing is Christ Jesus – the Anointed One – working through redeemed humanity. The combination of Faith and the Anointing could therefore be phenomenal in manifestation.

The anointing is never received by skeptics or doubters, but only by people who believe and actively exercise their faith. This is why the apostle, prophet or evangelist, in public ministry, may tend to reach out to one segment of the congregation more than another. This could probably be because someone in that group is placing a demand on the anointing; that is, he or she is exercising faith. People with faith are better positioned to absorb the gift in the anointing. In many instances, the minister may not need to minster to such persons individually, as they would have already received by faith in the Word!

To place a “demand” on the anointing implies respecting the anointing on a Servant of God, with enough eagerness to receive. This means to express a deep desire or ardent hunger for a supernatural manifestation of God’s Power in one’s life. Demand manifests by Faith! For example, when a minister is preaching or teaching, and he suddenly pauses to call someone with a specific condition to come forward for prayer of healing or deliverance, it may be because that person has made a demand on the anointing. Those who do not exercise faith to the extent of placing a demand on an anointing will stop being recipients of that anointing. It has been said that one’s sense of value determines the flow of virtue!

Sometimes, a minister struggles to preach or teach because of anti-faith attitudes such as apathy and familiarity on the part of the audience. When people lack respect for, and are indifferent toward their spiritual leaders, they obviously exert less demand upon the anointing. That was the case even with our Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of His familiar folk: “Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house” (Mk.6:4).

The Touch of Faith commands the flow of the Anointing. The woman with the issue of blood knew the value of the anointing, and by faith, tapped into it: “for she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction” (vv.28-29). The next verse confirms that Jesus immediately knew that power (anointing) had flowed out of him (v.30). He “turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” The Lord knows and responds to the TOUCH of FAITH by releasing the anointing.

Whenever and wherever faith touches the anointing, something supernatural will be released in the spirit and manifested in the physical. The faith of the lame man by the Beautiful gate connected to the anointing upon Peter and John, and the supernatural miracle of healing flowed: “immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength” (Acts 3:7). God’s anointing had to come into play when Abraham’s faith needed to be strengthened: “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God” (Rom.4:20). Beloved, add value to your faith by recognising the anointing, receiving the anointing, respecting the anointing, and serving God and humanity by the anointing!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
