FAITH: DESTINY’S DOORWAY

“Through whom also we have ACCESS by FAITH into this GRACE in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God” – Romans 5:2

FAITH is DESTINY’S DOORWAY: “Therefore, having been justified by FAITH, we have PEACE with GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have ACCESS by FAITH into this GRACE in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God” (Rom.5: 1-2). Faith is our Access into Grace, link with Righteousness, connection with Realms of Divinity, and Divine Usher into our Glorious Destiny in Christ! Without Faith, there’s no reconciliation or relationship with God – with His Peace and His Grace!

FAITH is a Principal Kingdom Principle. Faith is the foundational Belief System in God’s Kingdom. Every lifting, rising, and shining in God’s Kingdom is traceable to Faith in Him. Faith is a spiritually tangible Law of Life: “Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the LAW of FAITH” (Rom.3:27). Faith is a Law of the Spirit, validated by the Word of God, to which lesser natural laws bow! Let’s highlight briefly few truths that confirm the Primacy of Faith and its significance as Destiny’s Doorway:

We are SAVED by Grace through FAITH: “For by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Eph.2:8). Without Faith, there’s no Peace with God (v.1); no access into Grace, standing in Grace, or rejoicing in hope of the Glory of God (v.2); and no reconciliation with God (vv.9-11). Without Faith, there’s no salvation or redemption.

We STAND by FAITH: “Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for BY FAITH YOU STAND” (2Cor.1:24). It is by Faith we stand firm to manifest fullness of Joy, notwithstanding the circumstances. Our Faith is always a response to God’s Grace as expressed in the finished work of Christ for redemption from sin, sickness, Satan, and the curse. Revelation of our Redemption comes from the Word of God; but quite often, while believing what His Word says, there may be no instant change in circumstances. At such times we must STAND – abide, continue, persist on what the Word says – BY FAITH!

We WALK by FAITH: “For we WALK by FAITH not by sight” (2Cor.5:7). Our Lord Jesus stated: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (Jh.20:29). Believers “look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2Cor.4:18).

We LIVE by FAITH: “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the JUST shall LIVE BY HIS FAITH” (Hab.2:4). The Bible provides three additional New Testament “Witnesses” to the Truth of Living by Faith:

• “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from Faith to Faith; as it is written, “The just shall LIVE by FAITH” (Rom.1:17).

• “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall LIVE by FAITH” (Gal.3:11).

• “Now the just shall LIVE by FAITH; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him” (Heb.10:38).

The Christian Life is a Life of Faith. The just – the righteous – has no option than to LIVE by FAITH! To not live by Faith is to be dying in degrees! Faith is the only enabling means by which one can live the Christian or Spiritual Life. Faith is God’s Lifestyle! GOD LIVES BY FAITH! God is not pleased when we start out by Faith on the Road of Grace, but so quickly stumble and slide back into legalism, missing out on the joyful, triumphant, Grace-filled Life. His Will is that we fulfil our Glorious Destinies in Christ!
