FAITH FOR IMPACT (2)

“So then FAITH comes by HEARING, and hearing by the WORD of GOD” – Romans 10:17

The Primary Source of FAITH for IMPACT is the Word of God: “So then FAITH comes by HEARING, and hearing by the WORD of GOD” (Rom.10:17). When GOD speaks, His Word carries and communicates His Faith. Rarely can we develop confidence in anyone whose word we have not heard. Trust is always based on what somebody says about himself or what someone else says about him. Similarly, when God’s Word is received, His Faith is imparted to whoever receives it. That’s why the Word of God is called the Word of Faith: “But what does it say” “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the WORD of FAITH which we preach)” (v.8).

Faith is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb.11:1). Substance is anything of tangible value or practical significance. Evidence is the sign or proof of the existence or truth of something. Faith is absolute trust in God which is born out of the revelation of His faithfulness and the Integrity of His Word. There is no faith without God’s Faithfulness. Impactful Faith counts God faithful and true to fulfil every of His Word. The Faithfulness of God is the foundation for biblical Faith – Faith for God-glorying Impact.

God Speaks Faith! God will never speak doubt, fear, or unbelief; they are simply not consistent with His Nature. No matter the situation, God will never say “It is not possible.” He is Almighty God! He is the God of all possibilities (Mt.19:26; Lk.1:37). The world is filled with all sorts of bad, negative, and terrible news that breed anxiety, doubt, disillusionment, fear, and unbelief; hence many are unable to make the God-desired Impact in life. Thankfully, we can always hear from God, and His Word will always produce Faith in us as we hear and receive it.

The Word of Faith stands distinct from the enemy’s word or mere religious talk. The Word of Faith always tells us all things are possible to the Believer and that we have the final say on every challenging situation and storm of life. The Word of Faith always lifts the Believer and all in his or her circle of influence, steering them clear of doubt and unbelief. The Word of Faith always comes with encouragement and solutions to problems. The Word of Faith is Light to darkness, carrying illuminating power to dissolve doubts and dispel unbelief.

Prayer is profitable and indispensable, but Faith for Impact does not come by praying for it; it comes by hearing and meditating in the Word. If we find our faith dwindling in any aspect of life, the proper response is to expose ourselves to God’s Word in that aspect. As we do, our hearts become persuaded and established in God’s Word along that line. Faith will be stirred up in our hearts to make His Word our reality!
