FAITH FOR IMPACT (5)

“Now the just shall LIVE by FAITH; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him” – Hebrews 10:38

The Believer in Christ has no other option to the LIFE of FAITH for IMPACT: “Now the just shall LIVE by FAITH; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him” (Heb.10:38). Impact belongs to the Living; and “the Just shall LIVE BY FAITH”! Faith is the Lifestyle of God! Faith is the Believer’s Lifestyle. The Bible offers one Old Testament and two other New Testament “Testifiers” to the Truth of Living by Faith:

• “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the JUST shall LIVE BY HIS FAITH” (Hab.2:4).

• “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from Faith to Faith; as it is written, “The just shall LIVE by FAITH” (Rom.1:17).

• “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall LIVE by FAITH” (Gal.3:11).

The Christian Life is a Life of Faith. The Just – the Righteous through Christ – has no other option than to LIVE by FAITH, and make Impact by Faith! To not live by Faith is to be dying in degrees! Faith is the only enabling means by which one can live the Christian or Spiritual Life. No Faith; no Life! Faith is the Divine Lifestyle! God is not pleased when we start out by Faith on the Road of Grace, but so quickly stumble or slide back into legalism, missing out on the joyful, victorious, Grace-filled Life. His Will is that we make Glorious Impact by Faith in Christ!

Bible Faith is therefore Living Faith – the Faith by which the Just lives. Without Faith, the Just may be sliding away from Life, death-ward! God’s Heart “has no pleasure” in anyone who draws back from living by Faith: “But without faith it is impossible to PLEASE HIM, for he who comes to God must believe...” (Heb.11:6a). It takes Faith to please God, because Faith is His Attitude and Way of Life. In LIVING BY FAITH, we are SAVED by Grace through FAITH: “For by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Eph.2:8). We are justified and have Peace with God through Faith (Rom.5:1). We access Grace by Faith (Rom.5:2). We STAND by FAITH: “Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for BY FAITH YOU STAND” (2Cor.1:24).

It's by Faith we stand firm to in Fullness of Joy, notwithstanding the circumstances. We stand – abide, continue, persist on what the Word says – by Faith! But beyond Standing, we WALK by FAITH: “For we WALK by FAITH not by sight” (2Cor.5:7). We’re no longer driven by the dictates of the world, the flesh or our senses, but by Faith. We can live to please God. We can live as He lives – Impactfully by Faith!
