Bible Meditation:
Romans 4: 13-25

“He did not waver at the PROMISE of GOD through unbelief, but was strengthened in FAITH, giving glory to God” – Romans 4:20

Victorious FAITH STANDS ON GOD’S PROMISES. That was Abraham’s testimony:“He did not waver at the PROMISE of GOD through unbelief, but was strengthened in FAITH, giving glory to God” (Rom.4:20). The Bible – the ultimate source of truth – is filled with His promises. And God is faithful to fulfil all His promises, for they are sound and strong enough to bear the full weights of our lives and destinies. His promises are true regardless of what we see, feel, or think. Though it can be the hardest hurdle, we’re called to trust the Lord even when we don’t comprehend. There come times in every life, when we need to rely heavily on what God’s Word says over trials, people, our own emotions, and especially the enemy, Satan. When we feel like hope is losing ground and faith is fading is prime time to stand on God’s promises.

Have you ever been there before? Are you there now? The challenges you’re facing may relate to marriage, parenting, finances, lack or loss of employment, strained relationships, working through the loss of a loved one, the uncertainties of life, or church related issues. When the times are tough and the trials are hitting hard, it may be difficult for you to pray, open the Bible, understand the meaning of it all, or see your way through the tears welling up in your eyes. You must learn to stand on His promises before ever being hit by life’s challenges. But it’s not too late if the storm has already landed on shore. In your time of need, the Lord over all storms will never show up late: “God shall help her, and that right early” (Psa.46:5b).

Begin to meditate on God’s promises. Write them on your heart. Read and speak them loudly and let them minister to you. Choose to stand on His promises, no matter what life brings: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL” (Heb.10:23). The Holy Spirit is ready to remind you of those promises that have been written for reassurance, comfort, strength, increased faith, and meeting life’s diverse needs. God loves us dearly and cares about all that concerns us.

Let’s raise our voices together to sing the hymn by Russell Kelso Carte – Standing on the Promises of Christ!

“Standing on the promises of Christ my king, through eternal ages let his praises ring; glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, standing on the promises of God.

Refrain: Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior; standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living Word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord, bound to him eternally by love’s strong cord, overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword, standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]

Standing on the promises I cannot fall, listening every moment to the Spirit’s call, resting in my Savior as my all in all, standing on the promises of God.” [Refrain]

Abraham’s faith stood on God’s promises and never failed. Yours will not! No matter what you go through, God’s promises are eternally true – today, tomorrow, and forever. And they are true for you! You can stand on His promises. If you are weary and tired, stand on His promises. If you are discouraged and overwhelmed, stand on His promises. If you are confused and need direction, stand on His promises. If you have financial or physical needs, stand on His promises. If you know someone who needs a touch from God, stand on His promises. Never waver! Stand on His promises. He is faithful! Say to the Lord: “Father, I stand on Your promises and declare that they are true in my life. I commit all that I am and have, and the times and seasons of my life to You my Faithful Father, in Jesus' name.” Amen.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
