Bible Meditation:
Hebrews 6: 1-15

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of FAITH TOWARD GOD – Hebrews 6:1

Faith must always be directed toward God alone; not man, and not things. God, not men or things must be the focus of faith. It is the God-focused faith that changes men and things, not faith in people, things or systems. Faith in people, things and systems can fail, but faith in God can never fail. God alone is the surety and verity of your faith. God alone authenticates and validates your faith; hence, you faith must be directed towards Him. Only God can make your faith valuable. Trusting in man or worldly systems will only lead to failure.

John 1:3 says concerning Jesus: “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” The Living Word is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Our faith is pioneered and perfected by Him. Our faith begins and ends with Him. Only that which commences with Him can be completed in Him. We are to look to Jesus, to focus on the living Word, and not to people, things, systems or human institutions. Our faith toward God is able to overturn a mountain from its foundation and hurl it into the sea. Circumstances and situations are changed by our faith in God, not in things.

In another sense, the injunction of Hebrews 6:2 is that we mature beyond the elementary stage of “faith toward God” to the higher level of “faith in God.” For example, a belief imparted by parents or other authority figures concerning God is not sufficient to establish contact with Him. This is true of many people who think they “know the Lord” and profess faith toward Him, but still lack real faith IN Him. Consider how far you measure relative to the following scriptures:
- Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men (Matt.7:7)
- Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship… (Jh.4:22a)
- Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:...(2Tim.3:5a)

Understanding and obeying God’s Word are prerequisites to true, living faith. Without these, faith is dead and worthless. They are the basis for faith TOWARD God, which in turn is the platform for faith IN God! The bottom line is that we must GROW in FAITH. Our initial faith toward God must mature from a tender trust to full-blown conviction. Though we begin by being faithful in little things, we must develop absolute trust required to submit our lives to our Sovereign Lord and Provider without equivocation, question, or wavering. We are to press on to perfection and never look back (Lk.9:62; Heb.10:38).

Lord, help me in this journey to mature to higher levels of full-blown conviction and total trust in You, in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
