FAITH IS THE VICTORY

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and THIS IS THE VICTORY that overcometh the world, even OUR FAITH – 1 John 5:4

Faith in God conquers all oppositions. Faith in God makes you tougher than the tough times. Faith is your divinely-ordained Instrument of Dominion. There is nothing under the sun that cannot be subdued by faith; and no instrument of flesh that can ever defeat faith. If you were born of God, then you possess the overcoming faith – the Victory that overcomes the world!

Whatever seems to be bringing you into subjection simply indicates the need to build up your faith in that dimension of life. Hebrews 11:33-34 declares: “Who THROUGH FAITH SUBDUED KINGDOMS, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.” There are kingdoms waiting to be subdued by your faith, promises waiting to be obtained by your faith, and furious fires that would be quenched by your faith.

Faith is your personal, non-transferable responsibility for Victory. Your personal planting of the seeds of faith will secure your harvests of Victory! Just as you cannot demand that another breath for you, you cannot transfer the responsibility of faith to another person: “…the just shall live by HIS FAITH” (Hab.2:4). No matter how insignificant they may seem, small steps of faith lead to large expanses of victory!

In Christ, we already have the Victory: “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1Cor.15:57). The devil simply wants to wrestle it from our hands. That’s why we are commanded to “fight the good fight of faith” (1Tim.6:12). For the believer, warfare is inevitable, but victory is assured by faith! Whoever restrains you from the fight of faith, has robbed you of your trophy of triumph and crown of victory. Faith in God’s Word guarantees continuing victory over Sin, Satan and the world (Psa.119:11; 1Jh.5:4).

In all ages and in all places, God has had His faithful few – men, women, youth and children – who have dared to believe that He meant what He said. They stand out like jewels amidst the dust of defeat. What gave them their victory and triumph was an absolute faith in an all-powerful God who will always vindicate His promises. Faith in Christ’s finished work of redemption is the answer to the doubt, fear and struggles of mortals. It’s time to quit the struggles of the flesh and begin to claim the Victory of Faith!

Fear-filled words attract bondage and defeat; faith-filled words will secure triumph and victory. Begin to visualize, verbalize, vocalize and venture into your Victory…Faith is the Victory!
