Psalm 30: 1-12

For His anger is but for a moment, His FAVOR is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning – Psalm 30:5

The Flavour of FAVOR is another Covenant Inheritance that God’s children are entitled to in Christ! Two fundamental Questions: What is Favour? What can favour do? Favour generally means: an act of kindness; something given or done as a token of love, affection or remembrance. Divine favour is more than this!

Favour is the divine force that derives from God’s Grace and Mercy. Grace is divine enablement for outstanding accomplishment – God’s Resources at Christ’s Expenses! Mercy is the outworking of divine love (Heb.4:16). Favour is the divine flow of God’s goodness and mercy: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” (Ps.23:6).

Favour is the divine current that carries you from your present season into your future dreams. Favour is the golden river that lifts you from the pit to your palace, as it was with the journey of Joseph (Gen.37: 26-28, 36; 39:1-6, 21-23).

Favour is having God’s “face” shining upon a person (Num.6:22-27; Ps.31:15, 16; 67:1, 2).

Favour is for God to give attention and singular audience to one (Ps.40:1-3). It is for God to identify and hand-pick a person in the multitude as was the case with the man with infirmity of thirty-eight years by the pool of Bethesda (Jh.5:1-6).

Favour is uncommon divine interest. It is not a mere, incidental, chance event or the experience of someone doing nice things to you. It is a tangible divine force and input to the fulfilment of your destiny.

Here are Seven Fruits of Divine Favour:

  1. Favour adds flavour to life: For His anger is but for a moment, His FAVOR is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Ps.30:5).
  2. Favour brings Fulfilment: every fulfilled person in Christ is an expression of God’s favour, not of human effort (2Cor.2:14). Successful people in Christ are not “self-made” but “God-made” through divine favour: “For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them (Psa.44:3).
  3. Favour leverages Labour and is a shield against failure and frustration: For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield” (Ps.5:12). Negativities shall not access the domain of someone encompassed with favour. Whereas, a life void of favour will be full of hard labour. There can be dignity in labour, yet favour remains superior to labour. One day of favour can deliver you from many years of labour. One day of favour can bring so much fruitfulness as to save you years of fruitless labour! May you encounter your day of favour in Jesus name!
  4. Favour can lift from poverty to wealth instantaneously. The peasant Ruth became the wife of wealthy Boaz (Ruth 2:13, 4:13). It can make one a celebrity overnight. The maiden Esther became the exalted Queen by favour (Est.2:9, 15-18).
  5. Favour makes one ‘outstanding’ and ‘strong-standing’. “Liftings” in life are functions of favour: Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong…” (Ps.30: 7a). The boy Jesus increased in favour with God and men (Lk.2: 52).
  6. Favour accelerates progress in life: it can enable you to take giant steps and leaps into your destined future. Joseph after two years in prison became Prime Minister in one day. When the current of favour flows, you can achieve in few days, what could have taken you decades in the past!
  7. Favour can prevent or terminate tragedies. Favour turned an imminent racial “genocide” around for the children of Israel (Est.8:15-17). Favour caused forgiveness to flow on Nineveh’s streets to stem the tide of judgement (Jon. 3:10, 4:2).

In essence, Favour bends times, seasons, and situations for your good. The Divine Favour that answered to Joseph, Ruth, Esther, Mordecai and Daniel in strange lands shall answer to you, in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
