FAVOUR LEVERAGES LABOUR

The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city – Ecclesiastes 10:15

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it…” (Psa.127:1a). About a fortnight ago, we meditated on the superiority of FAVOUR over LABOUR. We noted that: one day of favour can deliver you from decades of labour; one day of favour can terminate a lifetime of labour. The world works solely by labour; Kingdom-champions walk in favour above labour. Labour unions in the world are known for endless struggles; but in God’s Kingdom, we simply enter into the ‘Rest of Faith’ and flow in Favour. Labour wearies the foolish; but favour fortifies the wise. Favour leverages the labour of the wise; such that “the labour of the righteous tends to life” (Pro.10:16a).

Peter toiled and laboured all night; but when he encountered Jesus, he experienced favour. There were two boats lying idle by the lake. Peter’s boat was divinely and purposefully selected to be employed and subsequently enriched by the Master. First, Jesus ministered to the crowd through Peter’s boat; then to him as an individual. God enriches those He employs. God would never use and dump the ‘boats’ of our lives. Whatever and whoever He uses becomes a recipient of favour. No matter the competition in your field, I prophesy that your boat shall be selected for favour in God’s sight in Jesus name.

Although the Lord commanded Peter to cast his NETS into the sea, he cast only one net and yet obtained net-breaking favour. Imagine the volume of fish he could have caught if he had cast all the available nets! Beloved, only your faith can limit the magnitude of favour that God is willing to command into your domain! Labour may be good; but favour is the best! The favour of God will supernaturally leverage your labour and bring you outstanding blessings in life, ministry and destiny.
