1Timothy 6: 3-10

Now godliness with contentment is great gain” – 1 Timothy 6:6

FINANCIAL HEALTH is essential to Overall Health and Well-being: Now godliness with contentment is great gain” (1Tim.6:6). Financial Health or Financial Fulfilment is not just about the amount of money or wealth one possesses; but about CONTENTMENT. Redemption liberates us not only from Sin, but also from lack, poverty, and financial bondage.

The Key Features of Financial Health are:

Prosperity without Pain: Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the PROSPERITY of HIS SERVANT” (Psa.35:27).

Riches without Regrets: The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it” (Pro.10:22) – Rewarding Riches! Whereas, “An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning will not be blessed at the end” (Pro.20:21).

Substance without Sorrow: For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1Tim.6:10).

Success without Stress: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Jos. 1:8) – Good Success!

Treasures without Trouble: In the house of the righteous there is much treasure, but in the revenue of the wicked is trouble… Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with trouble” (Pro.15:6,16).

Wealth without Worries: “He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; nor he who loves abundance, with increase…. The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the abundance of the rich will not permit him to sleep” (Eccl.5: 10-12).

God is able to deliver us from every Symptom of Financial Failure, Hardship, Stress, and Sickness. These include:

Idleness and Laziness: “If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat” (2The.3: 10b).

Greed and covetousness: “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses” (Lk.12:15b).

Get-rich quick attitude: A faithful man will abound with blessings, but he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished” (Pro.28:20)

Deceit and dishonesty in financial matters: “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much (Lk.16:10).

Careless spending and overdue bills: A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; the simple pass on and are punished” (Pro.27:12). The “buy-now-pay-later” syndrome is not in God’s perfect will.

Here are Five Powerful Principles of Financial Health:

KNOW GOD as SOURCE – the Source of everything: “My God shall supply ALL your need according to His riches…” (Phil.4:19a).

WORK: “In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty” (Pro.14:23). “He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough!” (Pro.28:19).

GIVE: Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Lk.6:38).

SAVE:There is desirable treasure, and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it” (Pro.21:20).

Avoid the DEBT Trap: “The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous shows mercy and gives” (Psa.37:21). “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender” (Pro.22:7). Keep out of unnecessary debt. To go into debt is to lose a portion of one’s freedom! Easy credit makes people uneasy later!

The ultimate goal is to BE CONTENT IN GOD: Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb.13:5). As we learn to follow biblical principles in our finances, we’ll encounter the joy that comes from acknowledging, trusting and obeying God.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
