FLOW OF FAVOUR

But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him MERCY, and gave him FAVOUR in the sight of the keeper of the prison – Genesis 39:21

Mercy, Grace, and Favour are inseparable divine virtues. The FLOW of FAVOUR is a product of Mercy and Grace: “Let us therefore come boldly to the THRONE of GRACE, that we may obtain MERCY, and find GRACE to help in time of need” (Heb. 4:16). Favour is the divine Flow that derives from God’s Grace and Mercy. Favour is connected to Grace and it flows out of Mercy. It is the vital by-product of the supernatural synthesis of Grace and Mercy. In spiritual dynamics, it is the divine multiplication of Grace and Mercy that produces the Flow of Favour. Grace is divine enablement for outstanding accomplishment: God’s Resources At Christ’s Expenses! Mercy is the outworking of divine Love. Wherever these two spiritual forces are in operation, Favour is sure to flow!

The God of Mercy Who also is the God of all Grace, is the Ultimate Source and eternal Fountain of Unlimited Favour. Authentic, original, and enduring favour is sourced in God – the Fountain of Living Waters (Jh.7:38). Any other entity is a mere imitation or a broken cistern. It is strange but sad to hear God say that His people forsook Him “the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns – broken cisterns that can hold no water” (Jer.2:13). May that never be our portions, in Jesus name! Every other agency can only be a channel or stream of favour. From Jehovah alone are the unending flows of favour and life: “…in His favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psa.30:5a). The Flow of Favour wipes out weeping and unlocks rivers of Joy!

When by Covenant, we become intimately connected to the Author of Life and eternal Fountain of Favour, He’ll cause the Flow of Favour into all domains of our destinies through whatever channels, streams or vehicles of favour He chooses to use. But we must never transfer the Glory due to the Source, to the channels, or else the flow will cease or change course! Like Grace and Mercy, Favour also flows by the Sovereign Will of God. Divine Favour does not depend on human credentials, age, class, creed or spiritual background. God can pick and lift a person, regardless of where he or she has been in life, and bestow His favour: “He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that He may seat him with princes – with the princes of His people” (Psa.113:7-8). That was the story of Joseph. The Flow of Favour followed and singled him out for blessings wherever God led him.

Favour was the divine current that carried Joseph through the phases and seasons of life. Favour was the Golden River that lifted him from the pit, through Potiphar’s house and prison, to the palace! The young man enjoyed the Flow of Favour even in the midst of very trying times. Favour does not always play out as a straight track or fast flight to the top. Joseph’s story shows that sometimes Favour takes one through tough times, but in God’s time, this same favour elevated Joseph to distinction and the zenith of dominion in Egypt (Gen.41:40). His life testified to the Flow of Favour from the dungeon to Distinction!

In the precious Name of Jesus, I declare that:

• God will command the Flow of Favour in the direction of my life
• God will cause the Flow of Favour into all domains of my destiny.
• I shall encounter the Flow of Favour at the Throne of Grace and Mercy.
• I shall never be disconnected from the Fountain of Life and Favour.
• Living streams from the Fountain of Favour shall never be dammed against me.
• The channels, streams, and vehicles of favour shall always cooperate for my good.
• I shall partake of the full Flow of Divine Favour all around my life and destiny.
• My Journey in life shall experience perpetual flow and overflow of divine favour.
