Psalm 36: 1-12

“They shall be abundantly satisfied with the FULLNESS of YOUR HOUSE; and you shall make them drink of the river of Your pleasures” – Psalm 36:8

Welcome to SEPTEMBER – our Month of the FULLNESS of GOD’s HOUSE: “They shall be abundantly satisfied with the FULLNESS of YOUR HOUSE…” (Psa.36:8a). Remember: Year 2019 is our Year of the FULLNESS of GOD. Between January and now, we meditated on various dimensions of God’s Fullness and His Will for us to Flourish in His Fullness. God is desirous that His children be abundantly satisfied with the Fullness of His House. This implies that God has a HOUSE that is uniquely His. The questions then arise: What is this House of the Lord? How can the House of the Almighty be described in limited human vocabulary? What goes into building or constructing God’s House? What constitutes the Fullness of His House?  What does it mean to be abundantly satisfied with the Fullness of God’s House, and how can this be your reality?

The answers to these and other questions are pertinent for us to become personal recipients of the Fullness of God and be abundantly satisfied with the Fullness of His House! God has enormous zeal and passion for His House, as exemplified in the testimony concerning our Lord Jesus Christ: “And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house has eaten me up” (Jh.2:17). In Matthew’s account the Lord was reported as saying: “It is written, ‘MY HOUSE shall be called a HOUSE of PRAYER,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves’” (Mt.21:13). If the House of God meant so much to our Lord, it should likewise be very important to us!

The metaphor of the HOUSE is common to Scriptures and the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. For example, in the parable of the two builders, a wise man built his house on a rock, while a foolish man built his on sand. Although subject to similar climatic conditions, the fate of the two houses differed (Mt.7:24-27). Also, the nation of Israel is severally referred to as the house of Israel: “But go rather to the lost sheep of the HOUSE of Israel” (Mt.10:6). The term “house” is even used to describe how demons reside in their victims: “Or else how can one enter a strong man’s HOUSE and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his HOUSE” (Mt.12:29). Moreover, when after a demon has been expelled from a person, it finds its former victim vacant, it says: “I will return to my HOUSE from which I came” (Mt.12:44).

Our main concern however is with the HOUSE of GOD. There is more than enough Fullness in His House for every human being on the face of the earth to enjoy, but we must clearly identify and appropriate the ingredients of this Fullness. In unveiling the truth about the Fullness of God’s House, we shall examine various expressions of the House of God such as: His Church, His Body, His Building, His Bride, His Flock, His Army, His Temple, and His Kingdom. Moreover, the notion of a house presumes the existence of a HOUSEHOLD or a FAMILY; hence, Paul’s reference to the “household of faith” and the “household of God” (Gal.6;10; Eph.2:19). Ephesians 3:15 describes the Lord: “Of whom the whole FAMILY in heaven and earth is named.” Zion is the House of God, and we shall delve into the beauty, bounties, and blessings of Zion (Heb.12:22).

Beloved, God wants to abundantly satisfy us with the fullness of His House! Life with Jesus is abundant! Life with God is satisfying! What is required is that we commit to God more fully than ever before, trust Him with all of our heart, and learn to declare His Word over our lives until circumstances change to match His Will. When we put our trust in Him and put faith into action, our Father will abundantly satisfy us with the Fullness of His House.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
