Bible Meditation:
Jeremiah 29: 1-14

For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and PERFORM MY GOOD WORD toward you, and cause you to return to this place – Jeremiah 29:10 (NKJV)

In a general sense, all of God’s Word is good. In the specific context of Jeremiah 29:10, God’s Good Word refers to His Good Promise to Israel: “For I will set My eyes on them FOR GOOD, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them, and not pluck them up” (Jer.24:6). There are at least three reasons why I believe God’s Word is ‘good.’ First, His Word is full of grace and goodness. Second, His Word is infallible – it can never fail or falter! Third is that God always makes His promises “good” – He never disappoints in fulfilling His Word.

God’s Word is good because it is full of Grace and Goodness: “Every word of God is pure…” (Pro.30:5). The Word of God is medicine to the mind and the body, food to the soul, and nourishment to the spirit. Hebrews 6:5 speaks of those who “have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come.” God’s Words “are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh” (Pro.4:22). God’s Good Word is spirit-enriching and life-giving (Jh.16:63).

God’s Word is infallible and incorruptible. The Word is eternal in nature: The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever” (Isa.40:8). His Word is incorruptible, indestructible, and endures forever (1Pet.1:23,25). God’s Word is the SURE WORD: We also have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts (2Pet.1:19). The Living Word Himself declares: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away” (Mt.24:35; Mk.13:31; Lk.21:33).

God always makes His promises ‘good’: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not MAKE IT GOOD?” (Num.23:19). God is the Promise-Keeper: “My covenant I will not break, nor alter the Word that has gone out of My lips” (Psa.89:34). His Good Word as His Messenger never returns to Him void, but accomplishes His Good Pleasure and prospers on His Good Purpose (Isa.55:10-11). I believe that the Lord God has set His eyes on you for good. He will perform His Good Word in your life: He will restore you, plant you in the centre of His Will, build you up, and would never allow you to be pulled down or plucked up!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
