Philippians 1: 1-11

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a GOOD WORK in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ: – Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

You and I are God’s projects. We are His workmanship “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph.2:10). Every child of God is His “work-in-progress”! God began and is continuing a good and great work in your life. This is absolutely guaranteed to turn out successfully, because it is His work not man’s. If you have been born again by God’s Spirit, He who called you is faithful to complete the work He began in you. He hasn’t brought you this far to abandon you. No matter what today is saying, in God, your greatest days are still ahead.

In this verse Paul tells us four things about the good work that God has begun in the life of a Christian:

  1. The Author of the Good Work is God Himself: Salvation is God’s work – all of God and not of man, as Paul’s own life evidenced (1Tim.1:12-14). God is the Initiator, Sustainer, and Executor of all dimensions of His work in your life.
  2. The Nature of the Good Work: God began the work IN you. It is a work of recreation, not mere reformation. A Christian is not someone who has simply changed his ways and decided to be a little bit better and more religious. He is someone in whom God has done a work that is so radical it can only be described as being born again – becoming a New Creation (2Cor.5:17); admitting the very Life of God in the soul of man (Ezek.36:25-27). You haven’t even scratched the surface of the potential God has packaged IN you.
  3. The Purpose of the Good Work: is to prepare you for the Day of Jesus Christ, when the Son of God will return to earth in power and glory. You may not be able to understand everything happening now, but soon you will see how they are all part of the great process of God perfecting the good work He began. Your present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in you (Rom.8:18). God is shaping and preparing you for your glorious future.
  4. The Certainty of Completion of the Good Work: is confidently guaranteed by the very Character of God. He never starts what He will not finish. He would never have started the work in you if He had not decided to finish it.

God isn’t finished with you yet. Get out of bitterness, discouragement, depression, and resentment and enter into the reality of redemption. God has implanted a new life, a new love, and fresh light in you. Release yourself – spirit, soul, and body – to the workings of His Spirit within you, that you may be conformed to the Image of Christ Jesus for a glory to His Name!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
