“Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will PERFORM that GOOD THING which I have PROMISED…” – Jeremiah 33:14a
GOD’S PROMISES ARE GOOD AND POSITIVE: “Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I WILL PERFORM that GOOD THING which I have PROMISED to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah” (Jer.33:14). His promises are UNFAILING, and ALWAYS POSITIVE: “There has not failed one word of all HIS GOOD PROMISE, which He promised through His servant Moses” (1Kgs.8:56b). His Nature of Goodness is the basis for His Positive Promises and Performances.
God personifies Goodness: “GOOD and upright is the LORD…Oh, taste and see that the LORD is GOOD…For the LORD is GOOD; His mercy is everlasting…” (Psa.25:8a; 34:8a; 100:5a). “The LORD is GOOD, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him” (Nah.1:7). Therefore, even promises that may sound or appear negative will always culminate in the positive – in time or eternity: “And we know that ALL THINGS work together FOR GOOD to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Rom.8:28). GOD NEVER ENDS UP ON THE NEGATIVE!
Beloved, do you trust in the Lord? If so, He’ll ensure that you taste His goodness. He’ll be your Stronghold in trying days, and you’ll see ALL THINGS work together FOR GOOD in all aspects of your life and all details of your destiny. When detractors are awaiting your downfall and wondering if you’ll ever receive or enjoy goodness, God will take sides with you: “There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us” (Psa.4:6).
God specialises in Goodness: “Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby GOOD WILL COME TO YOU” (Job 22:21). God’s acquaintances never lack His goodness: “SURELY GOODNESS and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Psa.23:6). God thinks good thoughts, creates good things, declares good words, and fulfils His good promises. David knew this, hence he confidently prayed: “Show me a SIGN for GOOD; that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, because You, LORD, have helped me and comforted me” (Psa.86:17). May the LORD continually show us SIGNS, tokens, and actual manifestations of Goodness, in Jesus name!
God speaks and performs His GOOD WORDS: “For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and PERFORM MY GOOD WORD toward you, and cause you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jer.29: 10-11). God does GOOD without discrimination: “YOU ARE GOOD, and DO GOOD; teach me Your statutes…The LORD is GOOD TO ALL: and His tender mercies are over all His works” (Psa.119:68; 145:9). May these be our portions, in Jesus name!
According to our text, God is transforming our stories from negativity to positivity and from captivity to liberty. He has brought us “health and healing” in Christ, and is revealing to us “the abundance of peace and truth” (v.6). He is turning our captivity to restoration and rebuilding our lives (v.7). We will become “a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before” the world as they “hear all the good” that God does to us, and witness “all the goodness and all the prosperity” that He provides for us (v.9). God will turn every situation of desolation into celebration, that shall ring with “the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: “Praise the Lord of hosts, For the Lord is good, for His mercy endures forever…” (vv.10-11). GOD WILL PERFORM ALL HIS GOOD and POSITIVE PROMISES!
Beloved, recall the words of Paul, the apostle: “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a GOOD WORK in you will COMPLETE it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil.1:6). AMEN!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
