Bible Meditation:
Psalm 119: 129-136

The entrance of YOUR WORDS GIVE LIGHT; it gives understanding to the simple – Psalm 119:130

In the midst of the world’s deep and dreadful darkness, GOD’S WORDS GIVE LIGHT:The entrance of YOUR WORDS GIVE LIGHT; it gives understanding to the simple(Psa.119:130). Another version says: “The unfolding of your words gives light…” (NASB). God's words give light to the most difficult issues of life. It is the universal testimony of the saints throughout the ages, that when the light of the Scriptures enters, the darkness of spiritual ignorance vanishes. God's Word is Light and gives light. His Word has an answer for every question that matters. The merely curious question it ignores, but every real inquiry made by the sincere heart is met with full light. Even if that light does not seem to illuminate quickly or to our full satisfaction, the problem is never with the Word, but with the seeker. Imperative is careful searching of God’s Word and serious listening to His Voice for the Light of Wisdom.

There are many confusing and perplexing issues in life; but most human solutions to life’s dilemmas spring out of pride, deception, uncritical and wishful thinking, and are not to be trusted. Darkness cannot produce light. It is no good asking for information of another who is as ignorant as oneself. We are all strangers in a strange world. Is our state hopeless then? Is there no real answer? Must we live in a world we do not understand and go out into a future of dark uncertainty? No, thank God, it is not all futile and vain. Our God is the Father of Lights (Jam.1:17). He knows all things. He is from forever to forever. He has answers to all of our burning questions. of course, His answers to some questions we may not yet understand with our restricted minds and limited experiences.

Hallelujah! We serve the Lord Who Himself is the Light and whose words give light: Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life (Jh.8:12). In Him we find enlightenment and illumination: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it (Jh.1: 4-5). God has reserved understanding of things to those who seek what only His Word will give illumination to. The natural person can only see things from a natural mind, which cannot appraise spiritual things (1Cor. 2:14). God grants spiritual insight to those who lack intelligence or the ability to comprehend things, when they submit themselves to knowing His Word.

There is always an answer in God. And in His Word, we can find light and have our questions answered. Paul wrote to Timothy: "and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2Tim.3: 15-16). It is important therefore that we search the Scriptures daily. It is reported of the Berean brethren that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so(Acts 17:11). It is also important that we approach the Scriptures with faith and humility, bowing our hearts to their instructions and commands.

The ultimate purpose of God in illuminating our hearts and lives by the Light of His Word is for His face to shine upon us (v.135) such that we would manifest practically as the “light of the world” and as children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world (Mt.5:14; Phi.2:15).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
