GOD’S WORD IS HIS WISDOM

“Let the WORD of CHRIST dwell in you richly in ALL WISDOM…” – Colossians 3:16a

Believers in Christ must learn to walk in the reality that GOD’S WORD is HIS WISDOM: “Let the WORD of CHRIST dwell in you richly in ALL WISDOM…” (Col.3:16a). Wisdom, the inspired application of accurate knowledge of God’s Word, is indispensable to experiencing a supernatural, victorious life on earth – the Winning Life. It doesn’t matter the experiences one has gone through in life, or the intellectual knowledge one has gained, without the Word, there is no Wisdom of God. The best that such a person has is the wisdom of men, which is extremely limited and always falls short. When we immerse ourselves in the Word, our lives will be the expression of the Wisdom of God.

The Word of God is the Wisdom of God. When His Word is released, His Wisdom is displayed. Acting on His Word activates the supernatural. We must learn to act on the Word, even if the statement or instruction doesn’t make sense. God’s instruction for Moses to stretch out his rod to divine the Red Sea, might have sounded ridiculous (Exo.14:16). It didn’t make natural sense for God to ask Moses to part the Red Sea, but he obeyed and a miracle happened. The ridiculous birthed the miraculous by the Instrumentality of God’s Word – His Wisdom!

Heavenly Wisdom is mined from God’s Word! Divine Know-hows and the How-Tos of God are contacted by revelation not calculation. Intellectual knowledge, practical skills, our experiences in life, and academic expertise are valuable, but without God’s Word, His Wisdom is missing. All one has is the carnal, sensual, limited wisdom of men: “However, we SPEAK WISDOM among those who are mature yet not the WISDOM of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing” (1Cor.2:6). Wisdom is transacted via the Spoken Word!

Paul, the apostle confirms that God’s Word makes us wise: “and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to MAKE YOU WISE for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2Tim.3:15). The Scriptures made Timothy wise for salvation. God’s Word can make us wise for deliverance, healing, parenting, prosperity, business, ministry, or leadership. Wisdom is to know from God’s Word, the scriptural things to do, steps to take, ways to go on any matter in life. It involves knowing HOW TO handle situations to produce desired outcomes. Wisdom is supernatural ability to bring solutions to dark matters too difficult for the mind. Rather than flounder in confusion or put stock in speculation or human wisdom, we only need to humbly recognize our lack and look up to the Lord, through His Word: “If any of you LACKS WISDOM, let him ASK of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (Jam.1:5).

God’s Wisdom empowers and propels us to always speak and act rightly: “And whatever you DO in WORD or DEED, DO ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (v.17). When we ask and believe, God grants us access into ALL WISDOM – Wisdom for every Dimension of Life and Destiny – so that what we SAY and DO will glorify Him. His Wisdom is demonstrated through our Words and Actions. By His Wisdom released through His Word and functioning in us, we excel in good judgement, have the right ideas, and make the right decisions. We’re prompted to always say and do the right thing, at the right time, for the right purpose, and for God’s Glory!
