Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 45:18-25

I have sworn by Myself; the WORD has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return” Isaiah 45:23a

Believers in Christ must confidently stand in the reality that GOD’S WORD WORKS: I have sworn by Myself; the WORD has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath” (Isa.45:23). God’s Word can never be revoked by any authority or personality. He never turns back from His Word. His sent Word will never return void and without effect, but will exactly, faithfully, and punctually accomplish its assignment. The prophet restated this same quality of God’s Word in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

When the Word of God is applied, it prevails and produces results, irrespective of the circumstance. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away” (Mt. 24:35). God is confident about the efficacy and immutability of His Word and He wants us to know this, so we can commit ourselves to it. Abraham is our Model of Faith: He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform” (Rom.4: 20-21). He had absolute confidence in the God’s Word. He made an utter committal of himself to Jehovah, which was accounted to him for righteousness (Rom. 4:3).

This is what God expects of us today: to have absolute trust and confidence in the words He has spoken and still speaks to us; to trust and believe that His Word works all the time, to the extent that we can stake our lives on it. God’s Word is the infallible remedy to all of life’s challenges. It is trustworthy and designed to make us champions in life when we believe it and act on it. Whatever God promised will be faithfully performed in His timing. God told Jeremiah: “You have seen well; for I am READY to PERFORM MY WORD” (Jer.1:12). Again, He assured His people: “After seventy years are completed in Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place” (Jer.29:10).

God spoke similar words through prophet Ezekiel: “For I am the Lord. I speak, and the WORD which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and PERFORM it,” says the Lord God’” (Eze.12:25). No matter the challenges we might be facing, it’s time to cheer up, because the Word works! All we need to do is to believe it and put it to work, applying it to each of our peculiar situations, and our testimonies are guaranteed! God has assured us that He “did not say to the seed of Jacob, “Seek Me in vain” (Isa.45:19). His Word will always work for us!

The New Testament is also not silent or passive on the Power of God’s Word to perform: being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil.1:6). Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise” (Heb.10:35-36). God’s Word is working and producing results in our lives every day.

Our prayer should now be focused on God, by His Spirit, enlightening our hearts and teaching us how to put the Word to work in our lives. We can confidently face life and win, having made the unreserved committal to trust and live by His Word!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
