GOD IS GOOD

For the LORD is GOOD; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations – Psalms 100:5

“God is a good God”! This was the central message of one of the greatest Evangelists of the 20^th Century – Orals Roberts. The exclamation, “God is a good God...The devil is a bad devil!” became a trademark expression of his. With this, Brother Roberts encouraged people to believe they could receive a miracle of healing or have other needs met because a "good God" does good things for people. He still is and He still does.

God is good: He saves from sin and delivers from the power of Satan.

God is good: He heals the sick, strengthens the weak, and lifts the lame.

God is good: He delivers from satanic oppression and from demonic possession.

God is good: He supplies all your needs “according to His riches in Glory” (Phil.4:19).

God is good: He guides, protects, provides, and bestows countless blessings in countless ways.

God is good: He daily loads us with benefits (Psa. 68:19).

You must believe and declare that GOD IS A GOOD GOD! Believe this truth today, tomorrow, every day, in every way, in any and all circumstances. You are on solid Scriptural ground when you say, “God is a good God.” The scriptures confirm it:

• Psalm 25:8 -- Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will He teach sinners in the way.
• Psalm 34:8 -- O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.
• Psalm 85:12 -- Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
• Psalm 100:5 -- For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.
• Psalm 145:9 -- The LORD is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His works.

Believers in Christ have a responsibility to a world torn by tragedy to offer hope and encouragement; to show by word and deed that God is good despite obvious evil. There is a challenge before us, to be as God is – good; and to do as He does -- good; to become His Message and Messenger of Goodness!
