GOD SPEAKS PEACE

I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for HE WILL SPEAK PEACE to His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly – Psalm 85:8.

God not only thinks peace, He SPEAKS PEACE. “…Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Matt.12:34b). Out of the peace-filled Heart of God proceeds an outflow of Perfect Peace. “He will speak peace unto HIS PEOPLE.” As long as you are among God’s people, one who has been redeemed and is not living in sin, rebellion or unrighteousness, expect that God’s message to you will be the Word of Peace. When God speaks to His people, confusion bows, problems dissolve, peace flows. To the disobedient, rebellious and wicked however, God releases woes: “There is NO PEACE” says the LORD, for the wicked” (Isa.48:22). Isaiah 3:11 says, “WOE to the wicked! It shall be ill with him…” Isaiah 57:20 also says: “But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt”.

Our Lord’s assurance of peace is hinged on His spoken words: “These things I have SPOKEN to you, that in Me you may have PEACE…” (Jh.16:33a). God is speaking peace to you today, but also warning that you must never revert to folly. To return to foolishness means to backslide to being a negative thinker and a ‘broadcaster’ of trouble, rather than of peace. You must be a ‘Thinker of peace’ and a ‘Speaker of Peace’! Learn to impact lives with words of peace and command peace to troublesome situations. Learn to speak only that which will engender peace. “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver” (Pro.25:11). Learn to curtail your heart and control your tongue from thinking and speaking what would drain peace from the lives of others.

We pray to the Lord, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done in earth as it is in heaven” (Matt.6:10). There is no chaos, confusion or disorder in heaven. Our business as believers here on earth, is to speak and prophesy peace upon our lives and lands. God is speaking peace. Are you willing to hear what He is saying? Are you also willing to speak peace? Are you an ambassador of peace or would you rather be a broadcaster of trouble? By the prophetic mandate of God, I say to You – the Righteous in Christ – that it shall be well with you, for you shall eat the fruit of your doings in Jesus name (Isa.3:10).
