GOD THINKS PEACE

For I know the THOUGHTS that I think toward you, says the LORD, THOUGHTS of PEACE, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope – Jeremiah 29:11

GOD is a THINKER! God thinks; and He created human beings to think. Psalm 139 describes the nature of His thoughts: How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You (Psa.139:17-18). God’s thoughts concerning you are precious and plenteous – as uncountable as the sand by the seashore! God thinks about you more than you can ever think about yourself. He knows everything about your past, present, and future. He knows even those things that you do not know about yourself. He knows your very thoughts from afar off.

If God is thinking so much about you, why should you ever be anxious? When your Maker Himself is thinking about you, why should you entertain fears and worries? What you do not know about tomorrow are already in your Father’s thoughts today. According to our meditation text, what occupies the Mind of the Almighty concerning you is PEACE. His thoughts toward you are THOUGHTS of PEACE, not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. His thoughts are focused on ensuring that you never miss your destination; that you reach your expected end; that you do not derail from the pathway of destiny. For surely there is an end, and thine expectation shall not be cut off (Pro.23:18).

God is also interested in what you think and how you think. His will for you is to choose to think like Him. Man does not naturally think like God. Isaiah 55:8 says: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. God wants to lift you up from the level of anxiety thinking, problem thinking, poverty thinking, sickness thinking, and all forms of negative thinking. That’s why He shares His thoughts and rubs His Mind with you. This is God’s Curriculum for your thought-life: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things (Phil.4:8). Do not allow the world of trouble, tribulation, and turbulence to fill your heart with confusion, fear, and uncertainty. Think like God. Think Peace.
