Matthew 6: 1-21

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, ‘Oh, that You would BLESS ME INDEED’…So God granted him what he requested – 1 Chronicles 4:10

GOD is a BLESSER! It is in His Nature to Bless. Two characters in the Bible typify the nature of how God blesses: Abraham and Jabez. Abraham’s account fills many chapters of scriptures, while the story of Jabez is found in two brief verses, yet not insignificant. What makes Jabez’ blessing unique was how he qualified his request: “Oh, that You would BLESS ME INDEED”! Also, while Abraham’s blessings were connected essentially to his covenant relationship with God, Jabez blessings derived mainly from his desperate Prayers for a restoration of destiny! Prayer is a vital key for us to experience blessings indeed. Miracles or supernatural blessings would rarely take place until we ask in prayer. Blessing is not the result of chance but rather the result of faith.

If Jabez could pray for the Lord to bless him indeed and God did just that, why not you? God is not a respecter of persons. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 Jh.5:14-15). You must walk in the truth that God’s Will is to bless you. If the enemy cannot get us to deny the fact that God wants to bless us, then he will attempt to have us to put limitations on how much the Lord can bless us.

Jabez’ Bless Me Indeed” speaks of us having abundant, overflowing, more-than-enough, enduring blessings; blessings that make rich without adding sorrow (Pro.10:22). The limitations and boundaries that we set can hinder what God accomplishes in our lives; not because He is limited, but: He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Eph.3:20). He blesses us according the “the power that works IN US”!

In truth, God has already “blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Eph.1:3). However, it takes the Power of Faith to bring the spiritual into material reality. Three simple keys to unlocking doors of blessings – Giving, praying, and fasting – are found in Matthew 6. These are vital to living a life of abundance. Jesus begins His discourse on each of these spiritual disciplines with the phrase “when you.” That means these disciplines should be a part of every believer’s life in order for God’s blessing to be released in our lives.

We serve a Big God. He is not afraid of the biggest of our requests. Stop limiting His ability to work in your life. Give room for His power to work in you and for you. What are the things that you perceive God is stretching your faith to believe Him for in this New Year? It’s time to commit them unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
