Bible Meditation:
Psalm 72: 1-19

For HE WILL DELIVER the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper – Psalm 72:12

We continue our meditation on Divine Deliverance. The fulfilment of the promises of Psalm 84:11 – our prophetic theme for the Year – hinges on walking uprightly with God. In order to be recipients of God’s grace, goodness, and glory, we must know what it takes to walk uprightly and enjoy divine deliverance. These are three other kinds of people that God delivers:

The LORD delivers the Seed of the Righteous: “Though they join FORCES, the wicked will not go unpunished; but the posterity of the righteous will be delivered” (Pro. 11:21). The generation of the upright will be blessed (Psa.112:2). The Lord remembers those who walked uprightly before Him and will continue to show favour to their posterity. There is immense blessing in walking uprightly before God which continues to the generations to come. Of course, leaving behind God’s blessing upon our children and grandchildren is far better than leaving behind great properties, wealth and riches!

The LORD delivers the poor and needy (Psa. 72:12). He delivers those who are in need and have no one to help them. People often ignore the poor and the needy, and refuse to respond to the cry of the helpless; but the Lord has great compassion on the vulnerable. He rids them out of the hand of the wicked (Psa.82:4). He delivers them from oppression and shows mercy to them (Job 36:15). Are you presently in a pit of poverty or in the depth of debt? The Deliverer of Israel will deliver you supernaturally. Only believe, sincerely call on Him, and commit to walking uprightly – to walk in the truth!

The LORD delivers those who consider the poor: “Blessed is he who considers the poor: the LORD WILL DELIVER him in time of trouble. The LORD WILL PRESERVE him and KEEP him alive…” (Psa. 41:1-2). God remembers their good deeds and comes to their rescue in their own times of trials. He preserves and protects them from satanic attacks and heals them from all sicknesses. God will immensely bless us when we show mercy on those who suffer. Psalm 37:26 says concerning the righteous: He is ever merciful, and lends; and his descendants are blessed.”

The Lord Jesus was anointed to preach the Gospel to the poor, deliverance to the captives, and liberty to the oppressed. We must tap into this dimension of His anointing, for our sake and also for the good of the generations of our descendants. This is indeed “the acceptable YEAR of the Lord” (Lk.4:18-19). Alleluia!

Prayer:
Lord, enlighten and enable me to do all that it takes to remain under the covenant covering of Divine Deliverance and perpetuate the same blessing upon my descendants, in Jesus’ Name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
