GOD WILL DO YOU GOOD

Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and all My soul – Jeremiah 32:41

God delights to do us good! It is the Father’s Joy to do His children good! Has it ever dawned on you that the Almighty God rejoices in doing something good for you!  All of His heart and all of His soul is focused on doing you good. This is His wonderful promise: “I will rejoice in doing something good for you!” Dear friend, you must believe the promises of God, not as mere letters in the Bible, but as true and living testimonies in your daily, consistent and continuing walk of faith.

This brings to mind Moses’ faith-filled words to his father-in-law “…for the Lord has SPOKEN GOOD concerning Israel” (Num.10:29b). He made this positive confession of his faith much before even seeing the Promised Land! This is Faith in demonstration: to trust God’s promise that He would do ‘good things’ for His children. On that basis, Moses was able to affirm: “And it shall be, if you go with us, yes, it will be, that what goodness the LORD shall do to us, the same we will do to you” (Num.10:32). How about you? Can you confess likewise? Do you believe in the goodness of God to the extent of becoming the reflection, expression, extension or channel of His goodness?

God is a faithful! He never fails. You can never regret following, serving, or trusting in Him. He promised His people who were delivered from Egypt, that He would take them to the Promised Land and cause them to possess rest and good things. He did exactly that and even much more, using Joshua to take the people of Israel into the Promised Land. Their surrounding neighbours feared them; no one dared to challenge them; and God gave them rest and granted them the possession of all good things that were promised (Joshua 21:44-45)!

God is good all the time! Do not fear. Do not be afraid. Rest in His everlasting arms! No matter what the situation is, trust in God’s Word to give you good things. You will not be disappointed! Begin to rejoice in Him who rejoices in doing you good. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God” (Phil.4:5-6). What is that ‘good thing’ that you’re trusting God for – your life partner, the fruit of the womb, a good job, a business breakthrough or fruitful ministry? As you trust the Lord, you’ll never fail; you’ll live to tell the stories of glory in Jesus name!
